Great recipes – yours is my favourite food channel by far! 🤩However, adding ice to the hot water doesn't really make sense to me. (Also here in Scandinavia ice makers are not ubiquitous in home kitchens). I just dump out the hot water, fill the pot with cold tap water, and leave the cold water running over the pot – just a tiny stream mainly for circulation. When the eggs are cool enough to handle I peel them and put them back in the cold water for faster cooling. Works like a charm!

The fact that you boiled your eggs too long and then put ice cubes into the boiled water rather than putting the eggs into chilled water made me lose any confidence in your cooking abilities. Have you chatted with any other chef ever?

I started following this channel back when, because I liked the weeknighting ideas. But everything recently seems to be so unhealthy for you. I think the second sandwich, from the math in my head, at least justifies being a meal, but lately it's been so salt or cholesterol heavy, I am not sure what's going on with the recipes. I watch this channel, because I believe that you know more than I do when it comes to food, but I also know that most of the online recipes I follow can be done at least half the salt they recommend. I'm also concerned about if this is becoming a Joshua Weissman type channel, because I can't stand his videos.

That’s a lot of water just going down the drain. Would be great if you could create a recipe that uses way less water that would be fitting in this time of drought that is affecting so much of the earth.

Instead of wasting water, do this.

    1) Get a regular towel and lay it out on the counter.
    2) Take the eggs out of the pot, leave the water. Roll all your eggs on this towel to crunch the shell all over
    3) Put all eggs back in the pot
    4) Get yourself a couple of pieces of paper towel and lay those in a big bowl or a flat pan
    5) Get yourself a little bowl for the egg shell trash
    6) Start peeling the shell off each egg under water in the original pot, capture as much of the shell as you can, put that debris in the trash bowl, and use the water in the pan to softly wash your eggs of any additional shell pieces
    7) Place each egg on that dry paper towel bowl/pan you have waiting

Win and no more water wasted!
