I hadn't seen the instagram post, but… I have never heard of pineapple casserole!!! What??? Lol, I am from Minnesota, so maybe that is why? To me, it would be a dessert, seems like it would be too sweet. Too funny, Stevens reaction! I think I'm hung up on the pineapple and adding cheese to it. LOL. I do love pineapple though!
I figure, something would be vintage, at 50+ yrs old?

I love pineapple casserole. I didn’t grow up with it but was introduced by southern friends and it’s a staple now for us. I prefer the pineapple crushed. Don’t think I could try the corn puddin. I love corn but don’t like creamed corn at all. I’m with you on that. I try to like it but just can’t.

I guess we are vintage folks (in our mid 80's) and we make corn pudding every winter. I always put crushed crackers in my corn casserole because my mother-in-law did and she was an excellent baker. Your recipe differs from mine a bit but looks real good. Love to see some of these old recipes recycled.

Vintage = 20+ years. Antique – 100 + years. Your corn pudding reminds me of bread pudding with corn added in. Those eggs are forming a custard which is probably what's throwing you off a bit. It's savory instead of sweet and would probably go well as a side dish with pot roast or pork chops. I love your videos and love seeing the two of you interact. Now I have to go find my recipe for bread pudding. 🙂

I’d never heard of pineapple casserole till a friend from New York made it and gave me her recipe. We love it! She said it could be served as a side dish or a dessert , but it doesn’t have cheese or crackers…it’s soft bread cubes, butter, sugar, eggs and 2 cans crushed pineapple. A little bit different I guess.😊

LOL. I’m with Stephan. I don’t care for savory dishes with pineapple. Which includes pizza. 🤣. My husband loves pineapple with savory foods including pizza.

I like your cheese shredder and keep talking myself out of ordering it. I have my mom's and her mom's vintage Kleen Kutter brand, possibly purchased in SC, and they are not dishwasher safe.

Hello Mandy hope you and your family are having a great holiday and hope your new year starts off great, I am from Oklahoma and we make the corn pudding with cornbread mix with about the same about of sugar that you added to yours or if we make it with day old bread we add a lot more bread so its almost like a bread pudding. As a suggestion i would us about 3/4s of the loaf that you got, it will turn out beautifully and for richness you could add about half a cup of heavy cream hope this helps Happy New Year! and love your videos

Happy New Year!! 🥳🎉. I've never heard of pineapple casserole (I'm about as North as you can get 🇨🇦…-43 last week) and I think I'm glad..lol. We make that corn casserole only it has sautéed green & red peppers and a cup of regular corn as well and it's really yummy. Thanks for all the recipes and good fun.
