So, I needed to replace my worn out rice cooker. The day I was shopping, the 3-quart ultra mini was on sale and cost the same as a rice cooker. I was pretty excited as I bought the IP, knowing the use value would be much higher than the rice cooker anyway. I have a 6-quart already but am in love with my cute little 3-quart. 😉

I really appreciate your tips and info. Thank you.

Karen,,,thanks so much for all your great info and expertise,,,i have a question/concern….Sunday, I made a pot roast w potatoes, carrots and onions. It had the most awful metallic odor /taste!! I was wondering if you ever had this happen to you OR if you ever heard of anyone having this occur? It does seem to be A THING on the web…..I was incredulous and am stumped! Thanks for any advice/insight you might have.

That is great information to know and I love my Instant Pot and just purchased one for my brother and sister-n-law for Christmas. I use my 3 Qt pot to cook some of the food I eat in and love how it performs. The times does make a difference and I am still trying to get them correctly so I don't under cook or over cook my food.
