There's NO leavening! Most likely you forgot to mention that you added baking powder to this in the video because I've watched it twice and it's not there.
My husband made the German pancakes for breakfast to surprise me. He was so disappointed as he was removing these flat, dense pucks out of the pans. I asked how much baking powder, he said that there isn't any. Baking soda? Again none. He showed me the video and I watched it twice and wrote down your recipe. They came out exactly like I would expect from the recipe that you provided but the pancakes shown in your video are not what I would expect. I blame you for his disappointment!
Please fix your recipe before you disappoint another amazing spouse trying to do something wonderful for the love of their life.
Wow! Thanks for the best Rock heavy Spaetzle frisbees ever! The "German Pancake", done exactly as shown, had to be the worst version I have ever had. Sorry but I'm honest. I wanted to make a nice breakfast and ended up with stomach weights. LOL

I subscribed after seeing your head boiled eggs. The easiest and best textured eggs I have ever made. Did I mention they were so easy to peel the shell off? The addition of 5’5,5 made it so easy for me to remember since I am old enough to be a great grandmothr. Keep up the good work!

An easy and less clean up way to cut your banana is just pull off half of the peel, cut on the remaining peel so you don’t have that slimy goo to clean up. God bless!
