Not sure where you shop but the Gyudon costs a whole lot more than 3 dollars a bowl. The meat alone cost me almost 18 dollars for 3 people. Add in the sauces if you don't already have them plus the ginger and the rest of the ingredients and it's more like 10 dollars per person.

Aaron, dear boy…. I haven't seen Hondashi in my asian department at the 1 store we have in town…. this is middle america small town, and there's a limit to what they stock if you don't ask for it.
I even had to ask them to stock sazon goya spanish flavor enhancer.
