Love the red leaves garland. We always collect pinecones when we are on vacation in our favourite area. For me, chestnuts are giving me fall vibes. I grew up with chestnuts everywhere and used to collect them as a kid 🙂
I always make the white chicken chili in the slowcooker. The chicken is cooked with the seasonings that way so my husband likes it more. And it is more of a set and forget meal that way, though last time I forgot to put the stick blender in to puree some of the soup. Still delicious though. My recipe doesn't have cream cheese, and I use chopped pickled jalapenos and just a pinch of habanero mic I can find in store here. Even my 8 year old eats it (and she can be fussy abot spices). And we like to top ours with some avocado en perhaps sour cream. If I can find a boc of juffy or make a substitute ( I don't live in the US so not something I can find at my grocery store) I'll try your version of corn bread. I always make sweet corn bread but that has so much sugar in it so I don't make it often.
