My mom is in administration at an assisted living facility, and their contracted food supplier hasn’t been meeting their orders. So, their food service manager is turning to local grocery stores to fill the gaps. Makes me feel like perhaps that could be one of many contributing factors to the shortages. I haven’t been able to buy spaghetti in a long time myself, but saw La Moderna brand from the Mexican section has spaghetti. It’s 86¢, compared to 92¢ for the Great Value brand when it’s available. For fun, I got a 7oz.pack of dinosaur noodles for 43¢ to make macaroni and cheese with, too. Enjoyed your haul!😊💜

Hope this isn't true of your Walmart but there are going to be quite a few closing down completely in the not too distant future..I think you can look online for a list to see where this is happening….

Hi Tamara. Great haul. Question: Is Ale8 ginger ale? Question2: Do you have a recipe for red beans and rice? When I lived in Texas (Sugar Land), a friend of mine made red beans and rice where she used about a pound of bacon (no sausage) and it was the absolute best. I am looking for a recipe to try and make it myself–so, being a "Southern Wife" I thought maybe you had a recipe LOL. Hugs and blessings.

One of my all time favorite childhood budget meals that I cook is Spanish rice. My mama always made that because it would stretch far with a family of 8. Using rice a Roni Spanish rice and add onions bell pepper and ground beef and canned tomatoes…yummy she served it with regular with bread made into garlic toast and canned green beans or corn.

Very decent haul this week. And I noticed the pizza dough mix went up in my area too. Used to be .77¢ or .88¢ depending on the brand. Now it's $1.00. Still not a bad deal.

Ya'll get some great deals there .we are here in Northern California and I used to spend around $150 a week for 4 to 6 people now it's been costing me about $200. I wish we had an Aldi or something similar . Our walmart is little and has no real grocery only a little bit
