sams club chips went up 1$ a bag. the bags are smaller, costco bags are larger. still the costs have gone up again. same with soda, they both charge way too much, going up in the stores as well about double what they use to cost.

I got your email about the Amazon sale for prime members. Is the insta pot air fryer better than the Corsair? I have seen good reviews for it too? I ordered your book. I have lost 16 lbs now. Thanks for the practical advice. It gave me a lot of confidence. Much luv from Texas 😁🇨🇱💕🐶🐾

Love your cooking videos! I have watched your video on things you love from Amazon. I was all excited, and ordered 3 things. 2 were complete duds, waste of money. Now I just watched this Costco video. You are very wrong about several of those items. At this point I sure wish you would stick to cooking!

I've seen videos of people who divide up things like tomato sauce, ketchup, or applesauce, juice, etc, and re-bottle it in a hot water bath. That way it's shelfstable and in smaller portions.

Not sure if you can re-can mayonnaise or olives though…probably not.

In Canada the Taylor salad mixes are easily a dollar or two cheaper at Costco and they are also different than what’s in the grocery stores here. I always buy Mayonnaise at Costco. It’s a huge savings. Why would I spend double on half the size.

i'm an avid costco shopper but i have to agree with you on the INSANE price increases lately! i've had to really cut back on most prepackaged + premade frozen goodies bc that stuff seems to be rising in price way too quickly compared to individual ingredients.

in the beginning, the definition of Costco was for businesses, eg: restaurant, cafeteria or mobile canteen. You had to have a commercial membership card to shop at Costco, but with whiny complaints, Costco opened up to the general public. Big mistake in my opinion! I never go to this kind of store !!!

Since the lockdown restrictions and shortages it's been eye opening how different companies treated their customers. I stopped going to Sam's and was using Boxed for a while. The "bulk prices " have turned out to be almost equal to regular grocery store prices. Luckily we have HEB and Since they're not outside of Texas, we get more local products with superior freshness. Short supply chains are steady supply chains. I know folks from Florida love their Publix stores for pretty much the same reasons. No more expensive warehouses for my family.

Wholesale grocery warehouses put entire pallets of bananas into gassing containers . Each container can handle double stack multiple pallets . The produce inspectors will close up the airtight chambers . Then set a timer program that uses ethylene / nitrogen / ethene gas to pre ripen the bananas before shipping to grocery stores . Not sure of the procedures as far as Costco . If you look on the internet there are suggestions to ripen your bananas . Take a couple of green ones and put in a paper bag and the gas that is left in them will ripen those bananas . Not sure if you remember school trips as a kid . We would look in the paper bag of our lunch in the morning and the banana would look ripe and by lunchtime it would have brown spots and be on the mushy side . Something that I didn’t understand but never liked them over ripened . For a better more scientific explanation look up my previous comments on the internet . Hope this helps you and your audience .

I share some of you items except the chips and salad kits! The kits at the grocery store are $6 and TINY. Costco is a way better deal (i don’t do sam’s club). Same with the chips; only a tiny bIt more expensive than the grocery store and HUGE. Great for a party or road-trips

Hi, TTT, it's really easy to make wontons and dumplings at home. There are recipes all over youtube. Really good ones! Pork, mushroom, shrimp and pork… real homemade wontons and dumplings are better than any store, and you can make a whole batch and freeze them without even cooking. Add wood ear mushroom, cabbage, carrot, shrimp, pork, mushroom, tofu, tomato and you don't have to use msg or a ton of salt. Look into food science and food substitutions. You can make bread and freeze it for months!

TTT, if you really want to let me freak you out. The junk food and chips is manufactured and scientifically made to make your brain addicted… just like METH. It's the same signals that are going off in your brain but you never get full. It's literally meth food. You are wired to become addicted to it… just like drugs, alcohol, sugar, msg., fat, salt, etc… you have to cut out or limit the sodas, the chips, and focus on fiber *fresh veggies and fruit and protein…

Hi, Tried Tested and True, have you ever been to Africa or any other country? You wouldn't be complaining about the bananas. You can eat the black part. It won't make you sick. Millions of people eat the black part of bananas and potatoes. You aren't going to get sick. Your kids aren't going to get sick. Mold yes sick, black spots no sick.

Wow on the bananas…we get the exact same ones and never had the problems you've had with them and I've been buying them for 20+ years there. I actually will only buy them at Costco because they last so long and don't ripen overly fast. I'm in Canada though so maybe that makes a difference but I can't see how that would make a difference. The granola bars…we're only 3 adults in our house and it takes us months to go through the bulk box and I've never had them get hard…any of the brands they carry including the Kirkland ones which are our favourite. If anyone wants the bulk baking soda if you keep it dry or decant it into mason jars and keep the lids on tight and it will keep for years…I'm using 4 yr old baking soda right now and it's fine…keep it dry as it's humidity that affects its use.

Interesting video. I have had different experiences with the bananas. Granted, I usually do not get them eaten before they turn brown, but that's ok because I bake a lot of banana bread and muffins. OTOH, we don't buy the spinach because, as much as we love to make salads, we never use them quickly enough, even with the Greensaver containers.

My wife used to love getting the HUGE jars of pickles (She was welcome to them; I am not a pickle person) until our doctor told her that she needed to cut down on the salt. (I shouldn't say I was grateful, but …) We still get the huge jars of sundried tomatoes and minced garlic.

I am just one person. I don't shop at either Costco or Sams Club. Even if there were 2 of us I wouldn't. I don't shop in bulk nor do I want my fridge to be overwhelmed with large containers. I look for bogo deals at my local grocery store. But I'm guessing if you have a family of 6 or more it would be advantageous.

I buy green bananas at Sam’s Club and have never had a problem with them. In about 3-4 days, they turn yellow with a little green, then only a 3 day window to eat them all. I don’t buy packaged lettuce there either. Goes bad too fast and can’t buy just a little.
