Love all these ideas! Definitely gonna keep these in mind for our next trips! Thanks, Amanda!
All carbs all the time
Thanks for these ideas. I pretty much eat shepherds pie every night at camp (switching up the protein and veggies), so some of these will be a nice change ๐
These are great, simple ideas. I am bookmarking this video for my next camping trip!!!!
I love shopping at Trader Joeโs before I go camping! A go to meal is their box of mushroom risotto with sliced up chicken sausage. So easy!!
All I saw was a lot of talking to the camera, with a few quick images of actual food.
I dump the ravioli and the sauce into a zip lock bag before I go. Then dump into the pan and heat. Marinates the pasta and cuts down on the amount of packaging ๐
..cool video keep up the great content.. Thank youโฆ
Thank you for making that video. That's very helpful! I started camping this year and I really didn't want to eat noodles every time but struggled to come up with easy meals
Great suggestions, going to try a couple on my upcoming trip to the Adirondacks. Thanks for sharing.
For a real simple meal (good for lunch) instead of box mac and cheese I like the Annie's (or Cracker Barrel or other brand) of shells and cheese that comes with a cheese sauce packet. That way I don't need milk or butter when making it and I can keep a couple in my food box as extra/just in case meals.
These are awesome thank you
This is so helpful! Planning easy camp food is the hardest part about getting ready for camp, and now I have 11 new things to try, thanks!
for me any syle of asian hotpot is the best thing ever while camping. There exists a ton of borth mixes you just add to hot water at any asian grocery store, then just throw that in a pot and have an asortment of thinly slices veggies and meat to cook quickly up in the broth as you eat (thinly slices pork or beef is a classic, thinly sliced mushrooms are very good, nappa cabbage etc). Perfect meal to share and the broth will be perfect out in cold weather just like a soup would
Great ideas. I'm going to pass this along to our chef in our scout troop who keeps looking spaghetti every trip. If he does not change, I will get off the optional meal plan and make 2 of these dishes. ๐
Last time I went camping I made tacos (in the rain over a campfire). It was a little stressful without a camp stove but I will say, it tasted awesome! Thanks for these ideas.
Thanks Amanda! Love your vids
These are great! I can't wait to try the couscous. A twist on the taco is fajitas. I prep the veggies and slice some chicken at home then cook in the cast iron with a fajita seasoning packet at camp. One pot and so delicious. Thanks for your hard work on these videos and sharing your experiences.
Great ideas Amanda!
I think you read my mind๐. Literally couple hours ago I told my husband I need to find some one pot meals for our next trip. I opened up YT and your video was right there!
Another great video, as always! Keep it up! ๐๐
I'm planning on getting out this coming weekend, I'm going to do the Indian and rice pre-made packs.
You can't beat Aidells sausage..so lean every time, great flavors too! Love that it's precooked..you are a pro at these meals!!
Thanks Amanda. I am definitely adding your jambalaya recipe to my car camping meal rotation!
Keeping these recipes handy! Easy peasy meals while car camping. My grandgirls love car camping with me and the meals we share, so I am always looking for new ideas. Thank you!
This video was perfect timing. Great ideas. We like chili, can you recommend a good one? We are flying to a destination, rent a car and go to camp site. We can't prepare at home and take it with us. Any suggestions?
Awesome easy recipes weโll definitely be trying out. Do you have a similar video for easy and quick backpacking recipes?
I would love an offering from you…….A cookbook you should make.
I'm sure it would make Amazon's top choice for hikers and campers and anyone else.
We had sloppy joes a lot as a kid. Making me miss beef ha
Wow, cooking the ravioli right in the sauce. So smart!
Food eaten in the wilderness tastes soooooo delicious.
Thank you for all the great ideas Amanda. I went on my first solo tent camping trip this past weekend in Colorado Springs and I binge watched a ton of your videos beforehand which made me feel very prepared. Your knowledge is much appreciated!
My wifeeee says you can cook or use the pot an pan to control your MAN โฆ๐บ๐บ
These are great ideas for lazy dinners at home, too! Thanks ๐
Coffee Stipend!
Going to keep a couple of these in mind for home, also! lol
I wondered how you keep your dairy items and produce cold…..Do you use a standard ice chest with just ice? Or do you use another method? Just wondering because we recently went camping and used a standard ice chest with ice and it melted really quickly.
SUPER-easy thing to make that one might not expect is Korean savory pancakes. Use a pre-packaged cole slaw mix, 2 big handfuls is plenty & some chopped green onions mixed into a savory pancake mix(just a regular mix with some salt, pepper & garlic powder added) with a teaspoon each of soy sauce & sesame oil. You can stir in an egg or two or a can of chicken breast to add in some protein. Just pour em out onto a hot pan or griddle, just like regular pancakes. Easy & delicious! I live in a converted minivan full-time & I have no problem whipping these up!
Thank you. I am a fan of the cast iron too. All of these look like things I would eat.
You had me at sloppy Joe Omg that was good ๐๐ผ
Nothing better than simple and quick after a day on trail. Great ideas ๐ก ๐๐ฅพ๐๐ช

yes, ravioli is yumm, another option is tortellini, the dry kind with some italian sausage and garden pasta sauce.. Tacos are their own food group LOL….. the risotto would be awesome with morels and boletes … always yummy stuff in your camp, thanks for sharing….
These are all great ideas for "lunch", but dinner needs a little more substance. We just got back from camping, our Saturday dinner was cooked in a dutch oven, over a wood fire; baked chicken, whole potatoes, and then in a steamer basket, above the meat and potatoes, asparagus. We baked biscuits on the lid of the dutch oven too. When the meal was fully cooked, we removed all the food and made gravy with the liquid. Chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy with asparagus………yum! Baked apples with brown sugar & cinnamon for desert. We eat well!
Love your ideas. We have a big gang camping so we need to double the recipe.
This made me hungry haha my fav is boxed stuffing, can of chicken, corn, cream of mushroom soup and a gravy packet. Thanksgiving one pot
Thanks Amanda!
