While I have a vegan instant pot 6 qt and 8 qt…I loved your suggestions. Especially the 1/2 size bundt pan and the pot in pot suggestions. I use my instant pot for steel cut oats, all kinds of beans and legumes, potatoes, rice , artichokes, vegan spaghetti…( will try the lasagna pot in pot) and soups and chilies. I could not function without an instant pot I feel. Loved the 0 minutes on the broccoli. I needed that better timing.

My only complaint about your videos is you truly appear to be a shill for Amazon. I'm not sure how we could confirm that, but the fact that you often reference Amazon makes me think you're somehow subsidized by it. Just level with us and disclose who you promote and if you're getting any compensation for mentioning Amazon so often.

Can you tell me where you got your trivet from, as mine did not come with one and I went on the your link but it is not the same as yours. My daughter ordered me one but it is much smaller and I like the size you have. I have had two incidents where my instant pot duo had had burn come up because meat has stuck to the bottom so I would like to get a trivet the same size as yours.

What a great web site, especially for the novice Instant Pot user. I asked for and got one for Christmas with an extra cookbook but had so many questions before discovering this web site. Thanks, Karen, for your videos and your recipes.

💕 Thank you ! I already watched one video on extras we might need, so I didn't think I needed to see another one. I was wrong. lol I like your ideas, and you may have a few of the same items as the other video, but you gave different ideas on what & how to use them ! And I can use all of the ideas I can find ! 👏🏼😊💗

This is so helpful! Question: what does the baking mat sling do that the trivet can’t do? Do you need both? I just got an instant pot for Xmas a few days ago so I have no clue about anything yet! Total newb

The barkeepers friend will probably work fine without the abrasive pad. They also sell a liquid version that's less abrasive but works fantastic. One of those soft scrubbies or a sponge, it will lather up and work real well at removing all the crud, just let it sit for a sec if it's not working good right away. Love that product. Good idea to wear gloves with it, it's got some bad stuff in it.

The pot you say you use is $49 with Amazon's 2019 Black Friday deals. I had ordered the DUO Plus 6 Qt 9-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure, Slow, Rice, Yogurt Maker, Egg Cooker,/Cake, Sauté, Steamer, Warmer, and Sterilizer, Stainless Steel/Black for $64.99 ONLY for the egg/cake functions. So can I do cakes & eggs without the special added functions?

I used a wet double folded paper towel, a little bar keepers friend sprinkled on top and let it "soak" than wipe clean. If I still have some burnt or dried on food than I soak it in some hot soapy water afterwards and clean it with a non-abrasive sponge.

I am a widower and I live alone. Do you have any videos on cooking for one using Instant Pot.? I’m not real fond of leftovers of a number of dishes. I am a self sufficient 82 year old male and like all kinds of food.

I have to get more sealing rings for my pot, the baking pans, and the extra main lid. I already have several accessories which I have not been used yet, but will be using them as time goes by. Thanks for sharing this information and is will help all of us new users in using our Instant Pot.

My greek yogurt doesn't need to be strained. 7 C whole milk, 1 C half & half, powdered milk (for 1 qt milk – don't add the water!) Once the milk mixture gets to temperature, hold at ~180 degrees for 30 minutes, cool to ~110 degrees, stir in starter, "cook" for 24 hours. Remove to fridge to cool. Put into containers once cooled. Perfectly thick with no straining. I get to keep all the whey in yogurt.

Good stuff and you just got my subscription, quite a few tips I had never seen anywhere else. However try to work out a system where you are looking at camera not off to one side. It looks like you are talking to someone above my left shoulder. Now I will go and enjoy some of your other videos.

Thanks for the good ideas. 🙂
I do want to say, however, that it's a bit disconcerting that you are talking to someone else and not "us." Please look at the camera lens and not yourself in the monitor. LOL. It is a bit weird, like were standing in the doorway, watching the teacher talk to her class. 😉
