I wanna add smth here, this is a really nice soup, I do pretty much the same except swapping out the dashi powder with other soup powder. But if you have that extra minute and can make this in a pot, crank up the heat first and let your soy sauce goes in, wait till it starts to boil for a few second, then add the water. A lot of ppl didn’t realize that soy sauce actually have a bit alcohol in it due to the process of fermentation, by boiling it you can get rid of the alcohol and the raw soy flavor
