I’m surprised you haven’t made yourself a pot cozy from Reflectix in order to keep the meal warm longer when taking it off the burner and decreasing the potential for burning/scorching as you run low on water – just take the pot off the flame, put it in the cozy, and wait ten minutes. Slow eaters will appreciate their meal staying warm. In uninsulated titanium, things tend to cool down really quick.
I'm assembling one meal for tomorrow's kayak to the other side of Kachemak Bay for lunch and back. I'm gonna just go with Round 1 to start with but I can't figure the Italian seasoning at 1 tablespoon = 10 grams. The whole jar is 15grams. My weight for 1 tablespoon is 2 grams. Does this sound right?
Anyway, looking forward to this and your other one potters on my trips. Thank you for producing and posting.
Durham!!
30 min from me.
Bummer I missed you

If you want to save on fuel, you could try using risoni, which has a shorter cooking time. Also, for maximum taste, add your pepper at the end of the cooking.
Noodles, ketchup, butter, Italian seasoning with garlic, and parmesan cheese.. Killer. Works great with ramen noodles too.
Yum! I think I would saute diced onion, green pepper and Mushroom before adding the sauce ingredients for a little added flavor. I would add the pasta last so that it would be easier to mix the sauce ingredients. I can't wait to give this a try!
I’m amazed at how deep red powdered Tomato turns compared to paste.
Your work changed my adventure meals. Leaving tomorrow with simple rice plus chicken or tuna. No “mush” in a bag. Many thanks!
I think the TVP Italian sausage idea would be a great direction. I’m guessing a few fennel seeds, more garlic and oregano? I also like adding some onion flakes.
My luxury item would be olive oil.
Welcome to Durham!
I've been working on the same, and I love the tomatoes paste tube, I
