Things to do with miso: Believe me, hot chocolate with a little bit of miso is ๐ tastes like a decadent version of salted caramel hot chocolate ๐
I spy Tree Trunks!
Since i normally eat dry cereal, i feel like toasted cheerios would be right up my alley.
A slow cooker ep would be cool an useful for me as it gets colder (aussie heading towards winter here). I dont have a slow cooker but it works the same if you chuck it in the oven. Cooking times vary though
My version of the nasi kicap telur is using the knorr seasoning liquid on top of the fried egg, you dont need salt, just the seasoning liquid and then rice ๐
I'm afraid to send my wife's cooking-I'm not up for it, but she's amazing. Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
Pressure cooker instead of slow cooker
More dessert recipes from around the world!
Like milk based or something
Indians use pressure cooker, which is almost like a slow cooker. Just shorter time travel.
Not surprised that the โIsraeliโ foodโs flavor is nonexistent ๐ #FreePalestine
Nasi kecap telur isn't from Singapore. It's originally from Indonesia..even though it's popular in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. I have been in the US for almost 30 years now…and that's still my favorite easy meal to make.
Im sooo hungry after watching thisssssss
Beryl- check out the channel Imamu for lots of examples of using miso paste.

Miso & tahini make a great cookie recipe. Like peanut butter, but tastier.
are you an art curator Beryl?
Is Melanie a beauty guru? If so whatโs her name on here??
Free PALESTINE ๐ต๐ธ israel is trying to steal everything from Palestinians even food ๐
Hi. I never commented but I know you recognize my name. ๐
Try the sweet soy with peanut butter and sriracha as a dipping sauce (thinned with hot water)! It's really good with rice paper rolls
The browned Cheerios and scrambled eggs – I wondered if it was somewhat like if you had Chex Mix with an egg. I also wondered if the dish came about from having no milk on hand – one of those cook with what you have meals.
Hi Beryl! I live in Canada & I love slow cooked meals. The Cheerios thing reminded me of a favorite childhood snack my Mum made…puffed rice toasted in butter & seasoned with salt. You eat it like popcorn! The trick is to toast the rice until it is almost burnt. YUM!!!
Butter melted with wasabi and soy sauce is also an awesome pasta dish!
You should do a slow cooker episode
I enjoyed the video but I was a little taken back by the lack of veggies. My go to fast meals are couscous with (deep-frozen) veggies, canned legumes, salads, one pot pasta with tomatoes, easy veggie soups. I couldnโt stomach something that is basically carbs and protein.
Hy Beryl I think you put wrong flag there. This one was Monaco's flag ๐ฒ๐จ (darken red shorten), and Indonesian flag was longer and brighten red ๐ฎ๐ฉ
I definitely agree that food brings people together.
You should do a show with recipes with grits
This is my favourite topic you do! I live off lazy day meals a lot. And this gives me so much variety
"It's not confusing in my mouth" ๐ Hahaha, thank you, Beryl. Best. Line. Ever!

At the start of the video when you said something about frying Cheerios, I thought you were talking about cocktail frankfurts. We call them cheerios in Australia. I was not expecting you to be talking about breakfast cereal ๐
as a norwegian, i have yet to meet someone who has a pressure cooker at home, but maybe that's just me and my introvert tendency to have a small circle of friends ๐
The Cheerios thing wins. (And I donโt even eat eggs)
Since you've made some Miso Butter, I now recommend you try it in your scrambled eggs! It's a GAME CHANGER!
Why would someone name their kid Barrel?
I understand food has nothing to do with Politics, but presenting Israeli food while knowing for sure it is as stolen as the land they live on doesn't make me wanna see this content anymore. Maybe try representing Palestinian food and see the resemblance
Those all look amazing!
Now, if could just have one free day so I can cook.
Kecap manis is a staple, once u know it ur world will never be the same ๐
I love using my slowcooker ever since I got one when I just got married. Growing up in Hawai'i, I've never seen one in any of the kitchens I've been. In fact I got my first one there but only had one choice at the store, a small oneโน. I've been through 5 crockpots already๐, that's how much I use it. It makes the best Mississippi beef roast.
laziest meal i've ever make :
cooked rice + margarine (butter) + salt and pepper ( powdered chiken stock) + optional ( sweet soy sauce / fried egg)
How about a slow cooker recipes episode from all over?
What I do when I make beef stew is pretty much use all the spices and herbs lying around in the kitchen, like cumin, rosemary, and also leeks and celery and tomato paste (just because, well, everything is better with tomatoes, lol)
Ok, now I need that miso pasta with egg. And the chicken left-over hack? Omg. That was amazing!
I like to mix miso with mayo for sandwiches
What happened to the audio between 11:12–11:17?
We do use slow cooker growing up, many chinese and Indonesian dishes are better cooked in a slow cooker as well. Watching you doing all these dishes gives me comfort and I feel happy.
I might try all of these but I will definitely try the fried chicken one – an amazing use for those leftover pieces of fried chicken.
I just love your videos so much! Thanks, Beryl ๐ฅฐ
