My sardine experiments are concluded, and found that it doesn’t work like I thought. The experiments were with dry fasting and breaking fast with sardines to avoid weight regain. And it worked the first two times I did it. But found that it can’t be rotational, bcuz on the 3rd try, I gained all of the lost weight back by day 3 on sardines.

I need to check out Dr Boz about that lady she be talking about who dropped 50lbs on sardines. To find out how she did it. But for now, that experiment is over and won’t be sardine fasting anymore. But will just have a can or two of sardines everyday for life, bcuz I’m convinced that humans need fish like in their daily diet.

And I’m with you on pulling out the old workout DVD’s! I did the same thing bcuz the old school stuff is just more enjoyable to do, and it has to be enjoyable or else you won’t stick with it. So, my extreme challenge for Aug is the copper protocol. Waiting for my copper to arrive from Amazon. 😊

The main reason I’m about to do the copper protocol is bcuz I have some problems that the copper may help. Namely, insomnia and nerve issues to name just two. That the carnivore and super gut yogurt hasn’t helped. I found that the sardines help my insomnia to get better, but when I practice fasting, which I love to do, I can’t sleep at all.

The whole fast is me struggling to sleep and if I do sleep, it’s so light that I don’t even know that I slept. And I want to change that if possible. Like, you take people who goes long stretches fasting, like 10 or 120 days — they have to be getting sleep to do it. My insomnia problem interferes with my fasting. So, I’m a give the copper protocol a run for a good while, get some regular enjoyable exercise, and then try to fast again at some point in the future.

Have an enjoyable August. I did a Carnivore-ish July and it was fun to limit what I was eating and cooking. I did not eat as many daily meals as I thought I was going to and I did not gain any weight sadly. Oh well. For August, I am adding in some more veggies, a couple of treats and enjoyable foods but not a ton. Limiting the simple carbs and sugar. I still intend to eat most of the meats saved up in the freezers (didn’t get as much of it eaten as I thought I was going to in July). I will be having a couple of small reunions in August and I want to be able to enjoy them when it comes to food so I am not continuing the Carnivore-ish challenge until September.
Good luck with your August recipe challenge. I hope you find some fun things to cook.

Loved your self created challenges but for the next round of challenges whenever that may happen, how about considering using a health coach (maybe even one from YouTube) and let somebody else be the captain of that journey to see where it may take you. Thanks for the video!

The whole reason I enjoyed your channel was because of your delicious low carb ideas. Your children, pets and lifestyle lured us all in. The challenges you have been doing I can’t do when I work out of the home. I would love to see more recipes. Exercise is what my next focus is..I try to walk minimal 2 miles a day…call it my cortisol killer. Thank you Nili

You need to do what’s best for you, be it exercise, eating, etc! Those older workouts were great!I have an app “walking for Weightloss” have been using that, going to the gym working with a trainer twice a week and am doing Carnivore for August!

Do you have a recipe for an egg white rye bread?

I'm so happy to hear that you are going to take a break. I was starting to worry a bit about you. I had to measure my blood sugar for a while and it drove me crazy, and caused me to obsess about it. Once I got the hang of it, I put the CGM away. Looking forward to the new recipes. Chris cooking Nashvilles cheeseburger casserole is delicious. I also love cabbage casserole. It's kind of a cabbage quiche. I can send a link to a video if u want to try it.
