I love Nick's Sticks! I get them very often! I like the Spicy Beef variety! I'm also very glad that now we have so wide a selection of low or no-sugar items because I and I know you can too remember when we didn't! Those Atkins bars and other similar items have taken the place of regular candy bars for me and I don't miss them! You're making me want to try the Grape Waterloo! I have yet to find any diet grape soda so I'm sure they'd be good if you guys like them! I want to try the double chocolate truffle Larabars! I don't like all of them but this sounds interesting! I hope that all is well with all of you including your pets and the stars of Chicken TV! I hope your bees have done well! Getting one's own eggs and honey sounds very good to me! Take care, all!

*Newman's Special Blend has been our favorite coffee for several years now~ I was completely stunned w/joy the first time I tried it πŸŽˆπŸ€Έβ€~which was also a clearance sale. I would not have picked a "medium roast" otherwise because we drink the darkest roast possible, yet Newman's is by far THE best Keurig coffee I've ever had! For years prior to that, we were die-hard Tully's French Roast fans…until that fateful day. The Newman's blew them outta the water =) Plus, Tully's ownership changed- again- & I think they changed up supplier/beans/processing- something, idk. Was not the same. I tell everyone about the Newman's now, but it's just that one particular version. We don't care much for their decaf or the other varieties they put out occasionally.
Nice haul btw~ love it when I hit the right time/right place deals on meat like that. I've started talking to the butchers/meat counter guys lately about what they do with all the beef fat trimmings, chicken skin, etc.(Annette inspired me) Most have said they will sell it to me cheap if I call ahead in the week & let them know what I want. One store said "no charge", & the rest have said between $3-$4 lb. Bones are a whole other situation because so many people want them for their dogs and/or bone broth now.=) It's all good~ but I will not pay what most of them charge for bones. We save our own when we get them, obviously.
My latest project is drying out thin sliced beef for pemmican, which I'm SO excited to try making~ also want to attempt my own "crisps". I love the idea of having shelf stable meat, especially since I'm not a canner, nor do I have that kind of space for storing jars.
Have a great weekend over there in bee-yoo-tee-full Oregon!

It is always so fascinating to see your deals and also the variety you have. In Canada we do not have that much variety and you pretty much can't get any meat for less than $10.00/lb, except ground and maybe chicken once in a while. Butter prices are always fixed. Costco is $4.79/lb. Alot of our food prices are fixed and high. With just my husband and I and feeding each of our 14 grandchildren once a week we pay $1000 to $1500 per month for groceries including toiletries and cleaning supplies.

Safeway is usually more expensive, but they do have good sales on meat, especially around any holiday. I hope we get a New Seasons here in Northern CA because it looks like a great market. 😊

    Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
2.25 a lb is an AWESOME haul! Great job!

FYI – Light cofee has the highest amount of caffeine. I always drank datk until I learned the caffeine fact.
    Have a great day!

Here in jersey, drumsticks are $1.71 a pound, nothing is cheap. I’m the strange one, lol…that likes a blonde roast, it tends to be less bitter. Great you had your adorable helper with you too. Thanks for sharing the haul.

Good shopping trip. It has been so long since I have been into Fred Meyers and Safeway. I wonder if Costco has samples back…..I was floored by the price you got on the steak and chicken. I am in eastern Canada, so prices are way past the roof. Can't wait for the new receipe.

TY Sis Nili! Those are good deals you got there for your shopping haul. I stack on butter and cream cheese a lot. Your daughter is gorgeous and great help to you. I am exactly like you when you pick up your daughters doing grocery haul trips saving gas money which is a great idea. I do the same exact when I go to appointments all the time to take my trolley so I can go grocery shopping after I am done with appointments so it saves me going back out again.

Good deals! That was a fun shopping trip and Charity is a good assistant. I have most of what I need in the freezer but need bacon so off to search and hopefully find some sales like yours.
