This supposed concern for "authenticity" shows how racist Mashed is to the Chinese-American working class at the same neglecting to see Chinese-American culture is authentic by itself.

Ah yes, restaurants charge a mark up cost for profit ! How capitalistic and greedy of them. What a scam. I guess all restaurant businesses should be non profit because we're too lazy to cook our own meals.
No one questions paying hundreds of dollars for shoes, clothes and their hi tech "toys". I guess their "essentials".

I love me a good Chicken Lo Mein. It's not as filling as I'd like it to be, but then chinese food always seems to have that effect of making you feel hungry again a few hours later. Also want to note that every chinese food dish in America is loaded with sugar and salt, so you might want to skip the soy sauce, unless you're leaving it for leftovers. Soy sauce is a great preservative.

The title is totally biased and highly discriminating. Having pasta in.an Italian restaurant (some pasta dishes only have pasta and no vegetables or meat) is no better as there is no difference having pasta in a Chinese or Italian restaurant, or in other words, in Asian or Western restaurants. The KEY POINT is we should stay away from carbohydrates as much as possible AND it is common sense that home cooking is normally healthier than street food.
