    Buddy I’m Italian born and we don’t put crushed garlic and the only other two fresh spices we put is parsley, and basil that’s it none of all that crap you put in your tomato sauce not marinara, marinara sauce has carrots and celery in it don’t confuse the sauces.

    American recipe videos always confuse. It will make sense but then they’ll add “Big Bob’s BBQ seasoning” or “Uncle Ricky’s Dirt Rub” or “Shotgun Hillbilly Sand”.

    Imagine if Italians chef were like “for carbonara, after you render the fat on the guanciale you simply add some Mama Mia Antonio Basil Mystery Seasoning” 😂😂 🤦‍♂️ truly authentic

    That is to much basil .. 20 years a chef that is tooo much basil .. Iv watched little old Italian ladies make sauce they cook the tomatoes add salt and put ONE basil leaf raw into the jars .. if they put one leaf you have put about 20 to many that will taste like perfume
