Starting WFPB doesn't have to be overly complicated. Keep it simple. I started with not drinking my calories. I love my decaf teas and water with lemon now. Then I got off the processed food.

I am a visual person…so half or 2/3 of green veggies on my plate and the rest starches. Spices are your friend. Also, I love to roast my veggies. Veggies are so tasty. I can eat a lot of volume this way because everything is a healthy vegetable.

Pick 6 meals to start is a great idea. I'm lazy, so I changed some of my old dishes to plant base like chili… mushroom and barley soup. Familiar and comforting dishes help me stick to WFPB.

I was over reading/learning. Don't overthink it. Take action. Even if it is one meal…say breakfast… and tweek it over a month and then work on dinner. I always make extra at dinner so I can have leftovers for lunch.

Great video! There are so many awesome tips. Of course, l love me a good plant rant. That could be considered a cardio exercise. 🤣

Great pictures of the family. So nice of you to take that precious time together.

Hugs from chilly Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦 🫠❤

You don't have big bulk jars of spices? Would you be doing that in the future perhaps in a large bag where we can refill our spice jars from you? Because as we hear from you using a lot of spices makes it taste that much better and buying and bulk would be more beneficial it will last longer etc

If it's 30° for any time period in Phoenix that is kind of a treat but still I would be chilly and at least be wearing a sweatshirt. I know you're in the house but I get very cold at 60° or even 65, That's why I love Phoenix! And I love the heat live there for several years but I don't live there now. I miss the winters as it is not very cold at all for long anyways. But I really do love the sun so the summers are not as bad for me

How long did it take for your soy curls to go rancid? I bought a case of 12 separate bags and have 3 left. Was yours that went bad from 1 big giant container that got exposed to air repeatedly? I'm wondering if my separate bags are ok, I've had them a couple years.

As part of the process I am trying to learn is how to live on $2 a day and there are YouTubers who teach that but it is hard and I looked at Food Pantry in my town and they have almost nothing WFPB. I mean they have every shape white pasta and white rice and other things that I have not been eating for years. But nothing WFPB. And I don't think Soup Kitchens do either. I have worked at them in the past and salad and dinner rolls would be the closest. I am not panicking but we don't even have many grocery stores that sell bulk to make the $2 a day feasible. I have been looking at prices and even 1 iceberg lettuce head which I also don't eat was almost $5.

Missed the live. I wanted to ask about your longer term storage. I might be losing my job soon and I know multiple people who haven't found a career job since they lost theirs the beginning of COVID and I have talked to people who it took over a year to get even a part time job at Ocean State Job Lot. Food stamps only gives $2 per day. Less than $1 per meal. So using my savings on some longterm food sounds important.
