This is how to make a 1950’s era recipe for Chop Suey from Woolworth’s Lunch Counter. I use an Instant Pot for the process.

This looks so good and better than the canned version, which I grew up on. I have used those crispy noodles from the large bags lately. They may have changed the recipe for them. I occasionally would use them for a meal, then snack on the leftover noodles. They don't seem to taste as good as they used to. I do however, love chop suey over rice. Thanks for this recipe.
As a fellow Iowan, you make me proud
Love it!!>>>t.co/QSaOIPHyu3 Have made several large roasts in it in an hour, so delicious. Then made fall off the bone ribs in 30 minutes (once pressure is built up). One of the absolute best purchases I've made! Highly recommend!?
Is that a rice cooker next to it?
Great video. Where’d you find the recipe or just going off what you remember?
I'm cooking this sometime this weekend. My mom used to make it all the time growing up.
That looks hella good!
Woolworths! Haven't heard that name in years…
