I just don't understand how you would get enough nutrients by eating only two meals a day and no snacking. I can't eat a lot at meals. I would be malnourished lol

I would love to know the studies on statins and women. My doctor has me in them and I want off of them without grief from my doctor or my husband.
I would like to show the study to my doctor.

Here's why people are unhealthy before they receive a mass message that eating plants is healthy but that's not the case. The opposite of what we're taught in America. Eating meat is the best way to feed your body. As low carb as possible. Keto was easy way for me to lose 60 lbs. I have minimum skin hanging. I bike daily about 5 miles.

The study: A: Drewnoski (and others). Am. J of CLinical Nutriom , 1995 June.

Title: Naloxon, an opiate blocker, reduces the consumption of sweet high-fat foods in the obese and lean female binge eaters.

I found it in a search. A lot of other interesting titles under the description.

Have people on a MEDITERRANEAN DIET also a 3.6 x greater risk of diabetes? Dr John forgets that there are as many thin as fat people with a dangerous fatty liver. I was one of them.

I drink 8 cups of coffee daily without feeling hungry. You get cravings after insulin peaks. So do not eat cookies, candy, chips, drinks with sugar, etc. I use a CGM monitor. Coffee doesn't raise my blood sugar at all. My weight is perfect.

So fantastic. It's really really interesting. The glycemic index is not that helpful as it is a test of a single food in young healthy university students. So Dr Joel Fuhrman recommends glycemic load which is more realistic than glycemic index as we almost never eat one food on its own. 70% – 80% or more of dietary salt is in processed foods – being food in packets.

As a former heroin addict….i started my life totally addicted to sugar. I would eat it out of a sugar bowl with a spoon if therr were no candies around. At age 22 in the Air Force i began drinking alcohol and my first coffee and was an immediate caffeine addict. I was a nearly raw vegan from age 17 to now…im 55. Im still struggling with black coffee and opiate addiction. Naltrexone micro doses are used in the Coleman method to stimulate growth of new dopamine receptors in the brain. This helps to speed up the process of getting through withdrawal. Look up Coleman Institute for understanding of naltrexone. Naloxone only affects a person for an hour. Naltrexone is a longer acting form of the same drug.

Could someone please elaborate on the diet of this great doctor. In an interview that was conducted in his garden ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iddFlIcxQi4&t=344s ) , he mentioned that he was lacto ovo vegeterian (that off course includes dairy and eggs), but eggs have saturated fat. Inall of the rest of his interviews, he mentions only vegetarian diet. I am a 60 year old male, who runs, lifts weights etc – still i want to optimize my diet. At the moment, among other things (grains, fruits, vegs, fruit, nuts, seeds) DOES include 3 O-3 fortified eggs per week, oily fish 3 times a week, 4 Tbsp of ground flax with steel cut oats and fruit (Low GI ) every morning, full fat high quality cheese and yogurat (in moderation). Any advice will be greatrly appreciated. Many Thank !! PS : Of all things I like about him, the MOST is his adorable sense of humor and laughter when his eyes twinkle !!

In another video he said that his longevity is a result of all his exercise. His siblings had the same diet as him, but when Dr. Scharffenberg retired he bought about 120 acres and built a house and garden, etc. All that hard physical labor he says is why he lived longer than his siblings.

After overdoing intermittent fasting I lost 4 stone and now struggling to get over 9 stone at 5 10. Approaching 60 I'm doing bodyweight dips and slowly benching my own bodyweight and have never felt better. But I'm underweight and not right to the NHS.

When I was on the SAD diet I was literally going crazy with cravings and I felt my life and eating were out of control. I blamed myself of course and felt such shame. I have never liked alcohol or drugs but sugar, fat and salt in junk food basically controlled me. I would crave them day and night, they were my drug. I kept eating them even after overconsumption took all the pleasure away and made me sick, but after a couple of hours I would start eating them again. Switching to a WFPB way of eating 3 years ago has changed my life, I went from depressed and even suicidal to becoming a healthy, positive person. At age 57 I look good and even stylish in clothes, people want to be around me so I've made new friends. People respect me more and wonder about my permanent transformation as I've now stayed slim for 3 years. I love the simple nourishing food I eat and I now exercise twice a week and look toned and leaner too. I would encourage anyone to give this way of eating a try for at least 10-14 days and see how they feel – just do it! There is definitely no turning back for me and life is getting better and better, I can cope with stress and look forward to the future and hopefully many more healthy years. And knowing that I have saved animals by not consuming animal products is also very important for me spiritually. #VeganLikeBunnies
