    So if you don’t cook or use oil, do you eat olives or sunflower seeds?

    If you do, don’t you still consume oil as isn’t the oil obtained from pressing these?

    Asking as I’m interested in the answer to understand this better as I do also follow another oil free You Tuber.

    How about indian Ghee. Which is better refind butter and beening used for thousands of years and people also drinks it. Our forefathers had healthy and long life but declined since white sugar was introduced.

    Hi Anya, I cooked a delicious pasta using a plant-based pesto sauce today. Problem was it was loaded with oil. When you have time, I would LOVE it if you had a simple recipe to make a nice vegan pesto sauce that could be stirred in (cooked or not) into spaghetti 🙂

    Can we eat nuts, seeds, coconut, tahini, avocados, etc. as much as we like to get fats? I’ve lost alot of weight going vegan, no oil, and would prefer not to lose more 🤔

    I’ve been vegan for over 20 years but it never occurred to me that oil was unhealthy. Olive oil enjoyed a reputation as a health food for years and every vegan recipe started off with sweating onion and garlic in oil! Thank goodness for the SOS free movement. I just wish I’d known before.

    I love love love this video, what she is saying is dead on point. I have been whole food plant base for three years now. But I recently discovered the dangers of cooking oils. I am currently transitioning from using oils and the research I have come across is outstanding.

    Is grapeseed, avocado, ghee, and coconut oil harmful when used sparingly? I rarely use oils but when I do I use those referenced because my stainless steel cookware is not nonstick. Nonstick cookware is harmful, toxic and studies have proven that it causes cancer.

    Reference the research of subject experts like Dr. Lawrence Rudel and Dr. Robert Vogel who have studied the effects of all fats and oils (sat, monounsat, polyunsat, cis and trans) and have found that ALL of the oils contribute to the inflammation and subsequent death of the arterial lining called the endothelium with cumulative result being heart disease.
    Oil is neither beneficial nor necessary!
    These facts are further amplified by the clinical results of Caldwell Esselstyn!
    Avoid oil – ALL oil! If you do this you will note how little marketed prepared and packaged food – from (most!!!) otherwise healthy foods like commercial hummus to most whole grain bread, are Not healthy as the manufacturers go out of their way to add various oils to many foods that might otherwise be healthy options – hummus being a prime example!!!
    And also please go very lightly on the high oil content whole plant foods!

    I get horrible inflammation from oils. Just 1tsp of olive oil on my salad and I feel like I'm 90yrs old. My knees, my neck my back!!! My hormones go crazy, depression too!!!!! It sucks because I hate salad without lemon and oil….no matter how long I'm wfpd….i need to stay away from fats in general….but oil kills me.

    I'm with ya. I only take and cook with MCT Oil. But I need that for digestion due to Chronic Pancreatitus. Other that that, no oils. I cook in a steamer and air fryer. Great video, thanks.
