My boyfriend and I financed a Lexus in Feb of 2019 and in July 2019, I was rear ended on Mt way home from work and BROKE MY EFFING NECK…which caused me to lose my 2 jobs and we eventually did what you did and took them the vehicle and went about that same process. This bank screwed us in every which way they could and they tried again after they sold our vehicle, too. They sold it for $16,600 and we were left with a balance of $8,632 AND THEN they added on the interest ON TOP of our total balance which took our balance to over $12k!!! The interest they had added was interest that had already been paid WITH OUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS WE HAD MADE. They were double dipping their hearts out UNTIL I advised them that I wouldn't agree to send them our financial information until after reviewing all of their documents and demands with our attorney. It took about a week and they agreed to drop off the extra interest and leave our balance at the $8,632. YOU NEED TO SPEAK WITH AN ATTORNEY TUESDAY! 👏👏👏

WHEN THEY BROUGHT BACK MY CAR DESTROYED AND I REFUSED TO PAY FOR IT AND LET THE FINACE COMPANY COME GET AND TO THIS DAY ITS ON MY RECORD . I don’t know the laws where you’re from, but where I’m from you can’t drive off the dealership lot until you have full coverage insurance. I never had gap insurance on my vehicle when I had a loan on my Volkswagen, and I totaled it on an icy road. My insurance covered everything and paid my vehicle off! You necessarily shouldn’t need gap to be covered. I would check with the insurance company you were going through and see what they can do to help!

Bc if that was the issue then this kind of makes some sense but if you DID have car insurance then your car insurance should have helped you navigate the accident.
