I once lived in a 40โ€™s home and the oven was just like that on the wall with the countertop stove, and the microwave had to go above the oven. It was not updated, but that was the best stove Iโ€™ve ever used, granted the buttons took some getting used to, and Iโ€™m currently in my 9th home and have experienced all different types of ovens and stoves. Thank you for the updates and memories…a reminder to keep going amidst a crazy season and enjoy life as you can along the way.

Your kids are so cute. Donโ€™t see them much on your videos but this video showed 2 of them and they are just adorable. I have 6 kids and I hope if I keep watching I can start to do some freezer meals. I didnโ€™t find a sharp shopper in California but I did find a bargain Market and Iโ€™m saving so much

Jamerrill, have you heard of wet-erase. they have markers like dry erase markers but and you use them on white boards but they don't wipe off until you spray them. another ineresting thing though I might be nervous to try it but I learned this with laminated sheets you can use sharpie on a laminated sheet and then it doesn't wipe off easy but you can use a magic eraser with water at the end.

This video has been so fun! I love the windows without the dividers, nice and big and clear. I love seeing everything coming together and getting things in their homes, and how you say you will feel where things will end up. Iโ€™m the same way. You have to live in a space for a bit and see what works. Canโ€™t wait to see whatโ€™s next lol Thanks for sharing.

I've had those same countertops for more than 20 years and all things considered they have lasted quite well. I'm liking your idea of painting them. Can you do a demonstration video when you do paint? I would love to see how it looks. Thanks you!๐Ÿ˜Š

The best thing for windows as a cleaner is Baby shampoo in water. So in a spray bottle add one Tablespoon of baby shampoo and the fill the bottle with water and shake. And Windex is a great carpet cleaner.

Hi Jamerrill! I agree with Travis about that microwave….someone is going to get hurt/burned with it being that high. Can you put it on that stand that you have at the end of the counter by the dishwasher? Or is there no electric there on that wall? Or do you have space on the other side of the counter where the chairs and table area is to put a little microwave stand? Love watching your house become a home. We just had our bonus room above the garage finished. We're using it as storage and hubby's "man cave". I still have stuff to go thru and get rid of it. I did a private group of my sisters, niece and older nephews to see if they want any of the stuff first. If no takers within 24 hours, then I pack it up for the thrift store. Now you've inspired me to get going thru the rest of the stuff….tomorrow. Enjoy your new home!

Oh my goodness, when did Benjamin grow up??? It seems like he just went from being a baby to being a little man overnight. Also – at one point you had talked about putting a little table of some sort right next to the fireplace, on the edge of the kitchen. Could you put the microwave there? Put the coffee maker on that little "desk" type area that wouldn't fit the microwave, with coffee cups and the like above, and then the microwave on the table next to it. That way it would be more at waist height, rather than you moving hot items from over your head. You would also be able to pull the things out of the microwave and place on the table if you need to stir something or whatever.

Aren't you scared the mice will attack your pantry when you keep the stuff in the garage? I'm so worried about them ever since i had one running up my stairs..ew! (City girl who moved to the countryside last year). We have a rental, so i'm not completely sure how they keep coming in, it's somewhere in a utilityroom upstairs!!! Catching one a week in traps inside that room. The noise machine worked for a bit, didn't catch anything for a few weeks, but now it seems there are some again.

Even though I am not a Mom of a large family (it's just me and my husband of almost 30 years, with 2 adult children) I still love watching your videos. You are an amazing super Mom. Your new house looks awesome, so happy for your beautiful family.
