The cooks who don't put vegetables on the bottom of the CrockPot must not read the instruction manual. I'd surmise that the manuals still say to do that. I know that my first CrockPot book from the 1970s said to layer the food like that.

Happy Saturday Debbie. I Love The Chicken Stuffing and Potatoes. My Family Loves it. I think that your adding to much Salt using Both The Season All and Salt. That Season all i Think is Extremely Salty by its self. I very seldom ever use it. Maybe just use one or the other. Take Care. Love From Indiana.
