    Great ideas, cost effective and all looked yummy.

    I like my sausage, peppers, onions and taters to retain the crisp so I don't add water to steam. I also make it a one dish meal by starting with the taters and a bit of oil and seasoning. When they are getting brown but not yet crisp I add in the other things for about the last five minutes maybe until the andouille has a nice brown on the outside and at that point the potatoes are crisp, the sausage browned nicely, the peppers and onions sauteed and all flavors were together during the entire cook. Saves cleaning one skillet as well.
