thank you. you really answered my doubts. I had no idea I could saltee. It makes it so much easier. I also didn´t know Hor to use the settings, and the pressure button. Actually the manual is not clear at all. I will start using it from now. I have also that brand.

I already have one of those fancy Japanese rice cookers. I'm not sure if I should add a multi-cooker or not, except I don't have a slow cooker or pressure cooker so there's that.

Thanks for posting this video. I had been considering getting one and thanks to this review, I realise it isn't for me. So you've saved me some money but also valuable kitchen space!

I absolutely love my Instant Pot. One of the best kitchen investments I've made along with the Vitamix. Awesome for beans, rice, yogurt, risotto, one pot pastas, stews, soups, chili, porridge, and even seitan. My only gripe is the size. Counter space in Japan comes at a premium.

I've owned an IP since they first came out. I now have the IP Ultra which has the option of presetting time for cooking. It makes a lot of difference especially if you keep busy hours and like to come home to hot cooked meals.

I mainly use mine to steam sweet potatoes and kabocha squash, cook chilis/ stews/ thick soups. I've made buns and cakes too. After you've mastered the basics, start having fun with making cakes, buns, etc…. You'll need pans that are the right size, as well as special methods that prevent condensation when making steamed buns or baked good.

Thank you!  You've answered many of my concerns about the Instant Pot, especially it having 99 parts to maintain. That silicon ring, ugh – hardest to keep clean and grout-free.  Nothing like the good old Panasonic rice cooker with only 3 pieces to clean.

If you can invest in the instant pot brand i would recommend it. It tells you if your food is going to burn or if the pressure isn’t right. The only negative thing I have to say about these cookers is that soups and such can stick to the bottom.

I LOVE mine. I can make rice and beans/lentils so much faster and i can just set it and shower or keep going without the fear of everything exploding. I was so scared to try pressure cookers until I got an instant pot
