After struggling with the difference with the LUX and the DUO…your video explanation definitely helped. I had the LUX given to me as a gift. After watching some youtube recipes…most all were using the Duo. Their functions were a little different than mine…making it a little confusing. But your explanation helped me to know that I can do the same thing, I just have to adjust myself choices, as to which buttons to use.
    Thank you

LOVE LOVE LOVE my instant pot!>>>ur2.pl/1046 It is definitely not a necessity for everyone, but it has certainly made my life easier. I think the 8 quart version we got is maybe a little large for most people's needs, but I really appreciate the versatility of being able to put a larger quantity into the pot – it's made dishes like stir-fry and rice possible to cook at the same time. If you're on the fence about what size to get, or if you should get one at all, I would say go for it!

If I’m understanding correctly you can cook rice , cake and yogurt in any of them, you just have to manually put the time in? I’m looking to buy a 8 quart but I’m so confused. I don’t care if I have to manually put the time in. I just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly

The duo has a duel pressure cooking feature. “Dual Pressure Settings
For fast and flexible cooking. Cooking with high pressure reduces cooking time and cooking with low pressure avoids overcooking delicate foods.” From the company. That’s the biggest difference between the lux and the duo.

I noticed on my new LUX today that in manual mode, I can't change the pressure amount.  I was making mac and cheese, wanted it to be on high pressure, but the owners manual says you can't change the pressure level in the manual mode.
