My pup just passed last Fri and I am shattered. She was a 9yr old pitty and she had pneumonia. We thought she was getting better, but she unexpectedly passed one morning. Turns out her cancer came back (she beat it 2yrs ago) and spread to her lungs 💔 I feel like I can't even function

Yes its very sad when your dog gets older especially when you can start noticing it. I had to put my dog down in Feb (was a very traumatic ending and was very hard to get over, still gets in my head at times) but would have been 15 years in May this year so we had many fun times together. Dogs are just the best!
But enough of that (getting emotional) lol that smoothie looks bomb and plan to try that shrimp recipe! I've been wanting to make a new shrimp recipe so thanks for the idea!

I think it’s the Japanese that have a theory about this? I’m not sure I could be wrong, it could be a different culture. But I think it’s called the red string theory? Anyway it talks about how soulmates (it doesn’t have to be a SO) will be around each other in other times of their lives before they meet. It’s a whole thing! And many people have pictures like these! I think it’s so cool!

My partner and I went to the same middle school but didn’t know each other. But had several of the same acquaintances and friends. His mom and himself, did laundry right next door to my house at a laundromat I always passed by, sometimes washed clothes at. His dad and my dad played soccer at the same field way before either of them even had kids. Like they had met before! Knew each other! 🤯 and even the night we met was soooo meant to be. 🙂

My dachshund Izabel is our old girl. She is 16 now, has a white face and has to be carried up and down the stairs. It makes me sad too, but I am thankful for everyday with her. 🐶

I completely understand how you feel about your dogs aging! I have an Australian shepherd/Sheltie that will be 12 on July 4th. She still looks and really acts young yet. She has a tendency to slip and fall on linoleum so I have a runner down. She’s slower getting up but she still plays like a young dog. She won’t go very far on a walk either. She will turn back to go home. Lol. I worry about how much time I have left with her. I lost my previous dog at 14. We got my current dog the next day. Not to replace the one we lost but to replace the emptiness and help with the grief.

We just put down our family dog Theo two weekends ago. It was really hard. Watching him get old was heartbreaking but also really sweet, a senior dog can be really precious and pesky. He was a 15 year old black lab German shepherd. He was my single mom’s protector and we miss him so much.

Love this video!! I especially liked how you announced your recipe replacement items and I felt that they were really legitimate replacements and better than the original recipe, especially to cut calories. YESSSSSSS!!!

Darling pictures of you both!!! Let Joey know I'm watching game 5 tonight, not in person of course, but we are in Colorado and everyone is going nutty here! Amanda, for years I would have so much anxiety about losing my dog. YEARS before I lost her. I think it's natural to worry about it and be sad about it because of the fear of it. I hate to say this, but maybe you should think about getting another one in the near future? I have a friend that has adopted a fair amout of dogs, and that is what she did. As one got older shed go and adopt another, the last one was a full size poodle and get this…she named him..Johnny Cash!!! He seriously is a hoot! You are such a loving dog mom, so sweet to see. I know that might not be an option at the moment but its something to think about.
