Honestly I want to hear it from the chef’s side. How do they feel about working on a company campus where they don’t really get paid (depending) by the one on one customer. I hope nobody’s mean to them to hurry up (I hate this saying because it’s over used but your poor planning doesn’t constitute an emergency for me applied so much)

Was never a fan of the uncooked oats, but the rest of it looks good. I'd probably never take advantage of the full benefits though, as the serving times are designed to keep you at work longer and as much as I like free food, I like free time more.

I think it's really cool that the chef's get to be creative and the employees get to enjoy good food at the office, but at the same time I'm thinking doesn't Google get a lot of subsidies from the US government? And they're spending their money on this? It doesn't seem right that Google is really profitable on its own but still takes billions of dollars in implicit subsidies by using way more bandwidth than they pay for. So basically in an indirect way, taxpayer dollars are being spent on cushy offices for yuppies who probably already get paid a lot.

This is great. Every. Single. Person. On this planet deserves access to free, healthy food. I wish to god this could be the case for every job. It would help houseless people so much. Food is a huge expense and they’d be able to use more of their money for other necessities.

One of my moms friends works in the google kitchen and sometimes brings us extras left from the day and damn sometimes I wonder if I should just leave my architecture dreams and become a programmer in hopes of one day working there and eating that good 😩

That’s insane. I’m not saying you don’t deserve that, I just wish all employees could get luxuries even close to this. You get doctors sleeping on a row of chairs as a makeshift bed for nightshifts or teachers being forced to pay for school supplies from their own wallets. You’re so lucky
