My children have been begging me to unschool them for over a year. Amy you make it seem so doable. I don't know why it terrifies me. They LOVE learning new things on their own and then share with the family as they improve their skill or success. sigh I know I just need to do this. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for this video. I am a teacher. I feel stress with online learning and my student's feel the stress as while. You have a positive attitude towards learning. Thank you 😊

Thank you so much for this very helpful video about different ways of teaching and more importantly learning. As a child I did not like learning at all. Going to school and trying to learn stressed me out but as an adult I try to learn something new everyday. I can’t get enough of it. Thank you Amy. God bless you and your family. 🌺

I loved everything about this video! The fun, the education, the tips, the transition to the reading, the reading itself! Going though stuff in my life but you always brighten my day. I'd love to homeschool my way, having to school at home doing it the schools way how & when they say it's frustrating…

How does it work for homeschooling kids when they have the state testing ? I live in upstate NY and we have mandatory state tests I don’t home school but I’m thinking about homeschooling.

Yes they will blossom in their own unique way i think when you push them you get no results but instead leave them have an input as the saying goes you catch more flies with honey lol have a blessed day

We have been homeschooling for 16 years! One is in college and one is a Senior next year! Time flies so fast. So happy I got to be with my children and watch them grow and learn!

This is awesome. Thanks for sharing. My kids did not like individual reading due to some learning disabilities but they love being read to. I read to them everyday even in the summer. I have noticed by not pushing it that they have started reading more and more on their own. You are right on point with the unschooling.

I'm so glad y'all enjoyed the crafts. I have a 15-year old g.d. that suggested the kids would enjoy the painting. She loves painting hand sewing dolls and jewelry making. Has her own business.

What you presented in this video is useful for anyone even without children. We have 24 hours in a day minus sleep in which to incorporate learning. With YT videos there is much that Parents can learn themselves & then teach children-ballet,square dancing, country two-step for example. Even 1 parent could learn ballet-Greg could practice it at his shop unwatched! (Or secretly recorded-that would be a hoot!) Cooking is a great time to teach fractions while measuring, building a deck is a great time to educate more on using a tape measure & more fractions. With red, yellow & blue paint a child can make a color wheel & make orange, green, purple & brown. A child can learn counting with pebbles, cheerios or seashells at a beach.Incorperating tactile learning helps solidify concepts as more senses are being used, like the Bible says faith comes by " hearing", probably because at one time only men learned to read so they saw & heard but women only heard.

So true about children going their own way. I have 3, and each one is so different from the other. Each took to school differently and yet, each are forging their path and are working towards their goals. Life with children is certainly an adventure! Blessings to you and your family!
