Not sure if you watch From Dumpy to Diva but she has those same weight gains. Hers comes from inflammation. I’m wondering if you might have that same disorder. Worth looking into ( I am not a doctor ….but I play one on tv 😂 😂 😂 LOL)~~~Sandy

I know if anyone is going to tell it like it is it’s you!! You are a fighter and determined to win and I know you will. Like you said meds can help one thing and hurt another.
You need to get checked out if your cough keeps up. Sounds like it could be allergies but can’t help but think about the demon Covid symptoms too. Sorry but just being real.
I have just been hit or miss with UTube. Jimmy goes back to work next week so hopefully will get back to having some me time. I didn’t know about the challenge. I need that. I am going to limit myself to about 5 Utubers to follow faithfully and your at the top of the list!

Hi Kim. I’m sorry to hear this. By any chance have you heard of lipadema? Legs feeling with that heaviness is a sign. Weight gain is typical and it makes weight loss very difficult.

Kim I know you do not like a lot of veggies, with all the work you put into low carb I know you felt so much better. I wish I had a magic wand to take away this bump in the road so you could have these operations sooner rather than later. I know the plan I switched to after comparing the points, bites and calories has changed somethings for the better. My mind is much clearer and the pain in my knee and my hip and lower back are no longer there every time I walk or bend. My osteoarthritis hip can get stiff during the night if I do not have the pillow under that right knee to keep the pressure of laying down off the hip. It may sound too good to be true but taking out the sugar and the flour has helped me reduce inflammation and drinking water helped flush the toxins. You see what I eat on my vlog, I wonder if this would help you enough to get to that operation and manage the pain. I am praying that you can manage with less medication. I am managing well with this weeks plan and weigh in for me is tomorrow, I will begin posting this weekly. Take care I hope you feel better by the weekend. sending prayers and love xx

Oh… Same boat… Weighed in Fri (250) – had a reaction Sat – Dr Appt Mon I was (260) – food reaction, med reaction… sigh

Had stopped taken several meds for Gout and Insulin Resistance because they were causing reactions but these last tests, they are both back up, so I have to go back to taking them in smaller doses… No pain meds for me either…

I'm thinking of you for sure!

My goodness Kim that coughing thing sounds horrible. Keep an eye on it and call the doc if it doesn’t get better. I really feel for you about the weight gain. I take a medication that causes weight gain and makes it hard to lose so I totally get it. So frustrating but hopefully you can come to a balance where you can continue losing without being paralyzed with pain. I’m so happy that your determination to continue with simply filling came thru loud and clear. After all your tough talk about sugar I’m embarrassed to say that I’m still fighting that demon. Oh well tomorrow is another day and I’ll try again. Big hugs to you.

Kim it sounds like you may have aspirated in your sleep, especially if you have GERD(reflux). I have this happen to me every now and then if I eat something and then lay down. It is absolutely horrible! I do the same thing…just cough and cough and have burning in my throat. Then after it subsides I’m hoarse for a couple days and still have an occasional cough. Be careful because you could develop pneumonia. See your dr. You may need an antibiotic especially if you start running a fever. You might want to try some Mucinex. Just a few pointers from this retired 🧑🏽‍⚕️ 💗

Kim, I so sorry that you are having these issues. When I’ve had the coughing you are describing with the tickle in the back of the throat, it has been a sinus problem. My older brother’s remedy was 10 drops of hot sauce in a cup of water and it would clear it up.
I’m sorry to report a one lb. gain this week. I have not been on plan since I got the call Monday morning that my sister, one of my 5 siblings, died. She was the sister next in line to me and the one that I was closest to. She died in Fl so I was not able to mourn with her family. I have not been on plan since then, but will get back on tomorrow because she was so proud of me reaching my WW goal so many years ago. I hope you feel better soon.

I had a lap band about 10 years ago. If I dont chew well enough I throw up. I wish I'd never had the procedure because obviously it didn't work for me. My weigh in is Saturday but I got on the scale today because I was up all night going to the bathroom last night for no apparent reason. Last week I gained almost 4 pounds and it must have been at least partly fluid and its decided to leave my body last night and today because I've been in the bathroom more times than I can count. I had lost almost that whole 4 ish pounds since Saturday. Our bodies are curious things sometimes.

So sorry you're having so many medication problems. Sounds like lots of edema in your legs (water weight gain). My daughter constantly needs to have medication adjustments for her problems. I think I'll have a gain this week. I find I'm humming your Halloween music.

Hi Kim, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly. Is it possible that you ate some of the onions that have been recalled? I had a very similar experience when I ate some bad tuna. To this day, I still can’t eat it!
I frequently remind myself, ‘Don’t ever quit!’ You can do it! 🤗

Hope you get over that irritation in your throat. I know it is very annoying. I am staying on plan, although I have hardly lost anything. I think I have lost about 2 pounds. Sorry your medication is interfering with your weigh loss totals. Hang in there. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

Kim….I have had both of my knees replaced. There is no better feeling than just being able to walk without pain! Don’t let anything get in the way of that goal. You did not fail this week! The meds failed you. Just keep going. You’ve got this!

Awww, I hope you start feeling better w/your throat and all. Is the nerve drug you're taking Gabapentin (Neurontin)? I take that, 300mg 3x's per day, and I was having water weight gain, but I take Furosemide (Lasix) to help counteract that. Maybe that would help you. Medicines can really wreak havoc with our bodies. Feel better, my friend. ~Michelle Drury~ xoxo

You ask how are we doing with the challenge….. I am like you in many ways. Medicine affects my weight but I can’t live without the medicine. This song from “Robin Hood” is my theme song when it comes to my weight. “Every town..has its ups and downs…sometimes ups, outnumber the downs……but not in Nottingham. 🤪

Most of the time I am “Nottingham” but I can’t stop or give up. I would be bigger than a house if I did. So I am taking my meds and working the plan and having those ups and downs and I’m ok with that.
You inspire me so much. I try to never miss anything that you load. You are the very first one I check to see if you have loaded anything. Thank you for all you do. 😊

Sorry you woke up as you did and had such issues this morning! I've woken up after inhaling acid reflux and I know that isn't fun, but it doesn't last as long as what you dealt with. :^(
