Something got all my elderberries and they were loaded this year! 🙁 First time having birds? go at them. Never saw any activity but assume that's what took them all. I do have some dehydrated from last year, so I am good for this year but will have to see what I can do to prevent a total loss next year.

We have been traveling in our RV full time for the last 18 months.Unfortunatly my hubby got sick about 6 weeks ago and almost died,he was in severe sepsis and had to have 2 emergency surgeries,he is in a nursing home until the end of the month, and we will be moving back into our house.I have been canning like crazy in my itty bitty RV kitchen,I have done green beans, dilly beans, pickles, salsa, pasta sauce, apple pie filling, pear pie filling, apple butter, and I just went yesterday and bought 2 more cases of tomatoes, green beans, pickle cucumbers and 2bags if peaches to do peach butter.I can't wait to have my kitchen and pantry back

You asked if we freeze dry meals. I do. I will pressure cook a Pork Roast, then freeze dry it with its drippings. This is great for trips and works well, reheating over a camp stove. We have done roasts several times this way.
I recently freeze-dried homemade chicken and noodles and they rehydrated and cooked well. I just freeze dried some left-over scalloped potatoes; I hope they work out well!!!
    Good job on your videos!!
(I am proud of you, working on the level of the music, it is a very nice volume now)

Your comment about your "Gut" made me laugh. Fab video as always.
Do you have a recipe for your cobbler ?
I have managed to forage some Damsons today , the first time ever. I'm in the UK so I'm hoping to get Blackberries next year as I've missed them now . Anyway, do you have any nice preservation methods / recipes for the Damsons? Tia 🖤🐈‍⬛

With your fruits floating, just shake the jars (after they've been sealed for 48 hrs) and your fruit will settle throughout the jar. Same goes with veggies. That way all produce will be under the liquid level. Just an idea. Another great vlog Katie. We call those birds in a nest, (the eggs in the bread).

Freeze dry onions, broccoli and carrots , then add Azur’s cheddar cheese powder and use chicken broth for the liquid and you have soup! Yum . I will add my canned broth and it will taste wonderful.

Ohhh Katie, How I wish I had your motivation. I love getting in the kitchen but I've been going through medical issues with a failed L4L5 decompression back surgery, plus I have cervical spinal stenosis. I want to do all the things homemade but it's so hard on me. My husband can't cook to save his life…hahahaha. so I take short cuts and it's not good healthy food.
