My name is Arminda D. On the topic of Ozempic… Forgive me, this is going to be long. I'm going to start with my experience with keto. I thrive on it. Years ago I decided I was going to start losing weight it was the day after Mother's Day and I decided that I wanted to be healthy for my children, I had five at the time. The next day I just straight up started cutting out most carbs, I had no idea about keto at the time. I found Dr Eric Berg and started on the keto train. Later my father introduced me to Dr Berry's videos. My health got so much better! I was having these crazy drop spells for years, I was afraid to walk out in my yard without my husband home because I would have a spell where I would just fall and drop where I was. My family said that it was like I was having a stroke or a seizure. I was misdiagnosed and put on this horrible medicine that caused me to have a miscarriage. Once I started keto these disappeared. It was some neurological issue that we could not figure out with two different neurologists. So I lost 97 lb and then I stalled for over a year. Then I found out I was pregnant with my twins. I had high risk pregnancies and this one was no exception. I my nutritionist was adamantly against keto especially for a twin pregnancy so I listened to them and I wish I did not. I had gestational diabetes before so this one was the same. And with twins it was even bigger struggle. Once they were born, I went back on track with keto well breastfeeding my twins and ended up doing carnivore more than anything but still would not lose weight. I gained all of my previous weight back and more with my pregnancy. I was a full-blown diabetic too. It was so hard! Through the next year or so I struggled with being on track and going off especially through covid. In all of my going off track, my spells were back and it was really hard for me neurologically and hormonally. On January the 20th of 2022 I decided I was getting on track and losing weight! I got really strict and I hadn't realized that I had already lost 5 lb when I saw my doctor in February and told him that I absolutely must lose weight for my health and my family. My doctor put me on Ozempic. Coupling that with keto and carnivore I started losing weight tremendously and reversed my diabetes. By my 6-month mark I had lost 100 lb and then I started developing some neurological issues. Neuropathy in my abdomen, legs, feet, arms and hands. My sister found some links to people's experiences with ozempic. So I went to my doctor with over 100 lb down. He said that I was giving the Ozempic more credit than it deserved and that I was doing this weight loss on my own and I didn't need it anymore so I quit completely. (I am still having this issue, so probably was not the Ozempic). My one year mark on January the 20th a couple weeks ago, I had lost 173 lb. I am now down 177. So all I can do is give my experience and let you judge for yourself. It did tremendously cut down my appetite and though it is very hard and takes a lot of discipline, I have gotten down to two very small meals a day, no snacking. Good quality meat and fats. And every once in awhile a little low carb veg and possibly almond or coconut flour and chocolate. All low carb, keto friendly. Ozempic did make me sick a lot, took away my desire for food most of the time. So that probably kicked off of my weight loss. I am the closest to a healthy BMI than I have been since I was a kid. And now weigh what I did when I played basketball as a teenager. I do have a lot of family and friends that are wanting to get on the Ozempic train because I started losing so much weight on it. But I have to stress to them that my way of eating was a huge factor in my weight loss. So, if this is what kicked off my weight loss, I am very thankful for that! I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with my weight loss and my health and level of activity now! People do not recognize me because I look completely different and I feel so good! If I could add a before and after picture here I would! I had to work hard to find old pictures of myself because I hated the camera so much!
Steve thank you for all of your recipes and your glucose testing and reviews. I really enjoy all of your videos, and those with your family, they have all helped me tremendously!

Amen to that Steve! No drugs. You have integrity. So many people have recipes overlapping. It's ridiculous to think that only 1 person can come up with something all the time when there are so many ways and places to find recipes.

Don't stop STEVE! People are silly and small sometimes, and might I say limited in their understanding of how life works (ideas, creativity, communication). Sadly, this is sometimes also a coping mechanism for feeling insignificant or unimportant. We can't help them beyond staying calm and reasonable and setting limits kindly. Which you did. How's that for armchair psychoanalysis of people I've never met?

I started on ozempic when it first came out years ago. Unfortunately I didnt lose weight but it did help my a1c. I dont get any side effects thank god! When I started keto from low carb about 4 years ago , it made a huge impact on weight loss and A1C . Im only on ozempic now from 1 long acting insulin , 1 short acting insulin, Ozempic, metformin and farxiga and had an A1C of 12 . Now im at a 5.2 A1C and 189 pounds down from 422 pounds.

My neighbor just started on the Ozempic injections. He doesn't look fat, but his dr gave it to him to take off 20 pounds. He had a heart attack 6 months ago. I'll be watching him like a guinea pig.

not related to what you talked about 🙂 but I had an idea that would be interesting for you to test out. Lacto fermented veggies and how they affect your sugar levels (i know how much you love cgm testing). I wonder if carrots and onions are more ok if they've gone through a few weeks of fermentation, and if they are they add so much flavor that I would think you could use them in tons of recipe videos

Thanks for the rind hack reminder. Don’t care at all who the original ‘inventor’ was, it’s not worth the time to even bring attention to one person Narc’ing or whatever.
    Thanks for the video.

A few months back, I posted in a private community about making a monte cristo Stuffler. Literally two days later, a keto channel posted a video with the same thing. I was a little put out because I immediately felt like they stole my idea. And then I realized that I’m not the only one that likes the Monte Cristo sandwich. And they probably came up with it on their own. Especially because they made it differently than I did and I did not post how I made it.

I moved on. We’re all in this together.

Wow now I’m glad I couldn’t get my subscription fixed until yesterday. For sure it wasn’t me! Sad that people can be so petty and just looking for ways to start drama. You just keep on doing what you do!

I am on ozempic (well off for a little over a week due to the shortage) and I tolerate it fairly well considering what I have heard. They have it paired with metformin and I have lost 25 lbs in 4 months with the only side effect being nausea.

Is there such a thing as plagiarizing a recipe? I have seen thousands of recipes for chocolate chip cookies in cookbooks with no credit being given to an original recipe, have they all broken some law?

I'm one of those people that had never seen the parmesan rind microwave hack before I saw your video of it. I watch a LOT of keto videos, including ones by the content providers you mentioned that "did it first" but I'd never seen it on their channels. So, thanks for sharing it, and don't worry about the complainers!
