    Recipe Notes/Tips:

    If you wanted to add some body to the broth (like you’d get with a chicken consommé etc), you could add a little spawn; the starch that you wash out of the flour when making the WtF seitan (spawn of seitan, get it?). I had planned on adding some, but I was in so much pain by this point that I had to stop. Add the spawn one tablespoon at a time until you get the consistency you want. Be sure to stir very well as it’s going in, otherwise you’ll end up with unpleasant lumps of starch. You could strain the veggies out first so that you have more room to work. I rarely throw the starch away as it’s useful for so many different things. I’ve used it to make pancakes and accidentally made crumpets with it!

    May I just say how impressive your pronunciation is, at least to this untrained ear. I have forgotten basically all the French I learned during my GCE's but I always think the romance languages would be very useful to have under the belt. Instead, I learned Japanese… lol! A gorgeous looking serving, as was to be expected from a great channel. The journey of experimentation is such a delight to watch.
