Berhalter seems to be clueless to me at this point. It appears as though he values a high passing accuracy stat from his players instead of actual threatening plays that sometimes result in a loss of possession, but also result in more goals and pressure on the opposition.
It's the cultural of usmnt football that ussf has created is why Gregg hasn't been fired yet because if this was same situation in England, Germany, Spain, Italy, Brazil, etc the coach would of been let go after a loss like this.

I appreciate your honesty, with GGG being a friend. But this was so clear, even from a casual fan, to see that the lineup was such a bad move to make. Then the game took place and i was embarrassed by our tactics, our lack of fluidity, even our effort. It looked like 11 guys saying what are we doing and running around with no sense of a purposeful attack. Just really frustrated as a fan, we are so talented but we need to have better leadership and not squander this generations opportunity for success with cute tactics and player favoritism over logic and reason. Thank you for the cathartic reactions boys.

Look at every single interview any former MLS player that is now in Europe has given. They talk about how much quicker everything from the training and gameplay is. When you go in with 6 MLS “lifers” in the starting lineup there is no chance we’re able to break any form of pressure thrown at us.
Ha ha And all this mess because of a dumb own goal. Godoy wouldn't have been able to do it on his own. The many MLS players that went into that game were the guys that won the Gold cup title. That's why Gregg believed in them. Sorry for the underperformance of "the second A-team". Don't worry. Many of our rested players will trash a tired Costa Rica in Columbus.
