I make my green beans almost like you, I don't add the brown sugar, and I cook my bacon until it's crisp before adding to my beans.

I learned this recipe from ladies in my church. I love it but with just me and my husband we don’t make it all the time. Plus we are getting older and have to watch our sugar but these are the best tasting green beans!

We like most of your recipes but 1 cup of brown sugar is a lot of sugar. We try to minimize sugar these days. Prefer green beans to be savory. Thanks for sharing, though.
I have never tried soy sauce but I do use Worcestershire sauce and a little bit of onion but everything else has the same❤
