Get ready to discover the magic of birria, a flavour-packed Mexican stew that’s perfect for meal prepping and versatile enough for …
I believe it’s pronounced wah-hee-yo, and yes toasting the chiles is an important step.😁
This would be awescooked in a solar oven, too. Cannot recommend them enough for cooking anything where flavours need to develop.
10:51 were you checking out your bicep when lifting the pot? What ‘cha gonna do, when Liz-mania runs wild on you!!
So… from my understanding, you definitely don’t need to toast the chilies that much.
Once that first whisp of smoke comes off, you’re pretty much good.
Birria is traditionally made with goat. Also, those small chillies are called chile de arbol ( tree chilli).
Spicy like you Auntie Liz🔥🔥🔥
Looks amazing!
If peanut allergy guy doesnt respond with his name (what to call him; ‘feels disrespectful to call him peanut allergy guy), i’m just going to call him Barry from Tazzy.

Curvy kitchen mommy.
No disrespect.
Love seeing you making traditional Mexican dishes. There are so many rich culinary traditions in Latin America. Now imagine eating that Birria with freshly ground blue corn tortillas!
I tend to avoid whipping it out for friends and expecially family Auntie Liz. Sorry children……
Auntie Liz, everyone's dream MILF
Dont forget to dip the tortillas in the sauce and the finish them on the plancha assembled. That is a real birria taco.
Another great recipe and fabulous ingredients. Cheers Despite being a minor capital city where I live it's a struggle to get the recommended ingredients. I've saved this so I can scout around to ensure I have everything before cooking. I like that it can be frozen for a quick meal after a busy day too!
Not sure about prices in the UK, but that glorious meat in a US supermarket would run close to, if not over $100. But even at that price it's cost effective. It's a full no leftover thing, even that fat layer. So many uses for everything.
Were those second "ancho" chiles–the short thin ones–chiles de arbol instead?
Great recipe Auntie Liz
Every video there is some dirty jokes, fuyooooooh
Auntie liz 😍
Wonderful soundtrack Auntie Liz! Great vibes as always!
Loving this new series! I've always wanted to give birria tacos a go at home so maybe this is the recipe I've been waiting for 😆
Auntie Liz at a taco party? Fuiyoh 😉 Suggest subbing Monterrey jack cheese if you don't have Oaxaca. And I always need some pickled red onion!
