I LOVE East African Chapati, and a Rolex is truly tasty! However, I’d recommend US-based folks using a frozen Indian Paratha rather than an Indian chapati… the chapati in east Africa is NOT like chapati from India and South Asia. It’s much more similar to a flakey, chewy Paratha!

    Hi, Beryl!
I've been seeing a lot about jackfruit and I read that Indians make flour from jackfruit seeds. I was wondering if you could make a video about it and educate us about some uses of jackfruit seeds flour. Thank you!

Never thought I'd see you make a rolex! Lived in Uganda for almost 3 years and this was for sure the most popular street food. I have to say we always got it served to us wrapped in a week old newspaper which was fun. And we never found a vendor that used cilantro 🙁 bet that took it to another delicious level. Although I found most of their cuisine to be a bit bland, my favorite dish I tried there was called malakwan from northern uganda. It is a very bitter green that you cook down and mixed with peanut butter. My favorite way to eat it was over sweet potatoes. Such a unique flavor profile. Absolutely delish.

Im Puerto Rican and my husband is Mexican. We make this at home and call it "tortilla tortilla". Never knew it was an actual street food in another country. We made it as a "funny haha" for the kids one day and the "tortilla tortilla" stuck around.

Everyone should make Rolex. Simple and yum.

Street food royalty you need to try next is Indonesian (jakarta especially) Kerak Telor! I think it would be amazing seeing you try to recreate it.
