How on earth do eat the same thing every day all year long.
🫣🤪
Anyone in California Safeway has ground beef for $1.88 lb with the app clip coupon the sale ends on Valentine's day. ❤️
Tri-tip sous vide 👍👍
I find it hard to find cuts like this in the UK. They only want to sell the prime cuts it seems, I cant find chuck or skirt or indeed tri tip.
Try Chuck eye!!! Not chuck roast. Chuck eye is the poor man's rib eye. !!!
I found it tough even not over cooking.
I ended up cooking it in fluid
No noooooooo. Put it on the grill until med rare then sear it in a cast iron pan
Courtney Luna had a great tip too! She says cut into 2.5” pieces & freeze. Air fry frozen @ 400 15 min & gets crispy outside, tender inside.
I’m excited to try both! I usually skip buying tri-tip because I thought I needed a grill/smoker to enjoy it.
Do you bring your meat to room temp before air frying? @SteakandButterGal
SoCal Stater Brothers (Vista/San Marcos area) has Tri-Tip for $3.99/lb this week!!
I sous vide my tri tip for 4 hrs at 130 degrees then throw it on my unlit grill and brown it with my propane torch. It's super tender like butter and I eat it swimming in butter 😃
I’ve seen this type of steak in our stores 🇨🇦
Maybe it has a different name here.
Seriously? Tri-tip for $10lb?! That's at least 3x what that piece of meat is worth.
Is that Bella's new BF? He looks different than the last one that was quitting carnivore.
We love Tri-Tip!
Hey I’m new to this…any ideas on how to gain weight on carnivore?
Is it true that it’s better is we buy grass fed grass finish steak?? Apparently it’s more nutrient dense than regular supermarket steaks ??
You should look into consuming more ground beef. You can find 100% grass-fed varieties for around 5$ per pound at Aldi or Walmart and it will provide a more complete nutritional profile along with more fat.
Haha. Sirloin Tri-Tip has always served my carne asada well, but that cut off beef is not cheap.. 🧐
Haven't tried it yet
For anyone in California Safeway is having an untrimmed tri-tip sale this week, this means you get two whole tri-tips per package at $2.99 a pound. You will have to trim it or ask the butcher at Safeway to do it but I like doing it myself as I use the fat trim to create crackling or cut into strips as "beefy" bacon, then I cut the roasts into 2" thick steaks, then I package the steaks into Foodsaver bags and freeze for later.
More great wisdom from these meatards. “10 dollars a pound is cheap”.
Tritip roasts are great… unfortunately it's hard to find them east of the Rockies.
If you can find the Tri-Tip Roasts “Untrimmed” there’s a huge fat cap like 1” thick and it sells routinely at $3.99lb at my local Safeway in Hawaii. I cut my own steaks from it, Sous vide them rare and sear them to crisp the fat cap. Absolutely delicious & so cheap!
Tritip has been a family favorite for 40 years 🤗 I recently discovered boneless rib steaks OMG so, so, so good 🎉 but the cook time is long. I 💕meat 🎉🎉🎉
$9.99 lb is not cheap…..
if it ain't grass fed i wont eat it
Tri-tip is delicious, but it's way too lean. You have to supplement it with lots of extra fat.
In a air fryer?
Grain fed crap
Which air fryer is that?
