That rice is our absolute favorite!!! We have been buying it as our splurge for 8 months. We eat a ton of rice cooked from scratch but you cant beat one of those rices with canned chicken and salsa. Or with an egg
If you makes you feel better, I've gone through 4 sets of glasses in the 6 years I've lived my current apartment. I still haven't figured out who keeps breaking them. I live by myself.
Those are great scissors…I have them too😉. I am also happy the apples come in cardboard boxes. And that popcorn is the best! I am looking forward to another family adventure! -Lynnette
I am 10 million percent with you on not spending so much money eating out. My family and friends of ours went to Kissimmee, Florida for about a week right before Christmas of this year, and we managed to rent a condo big enough for all of us. Having a full kitchen saved us tons of money and time, it was wonderful! I hope you guys have a happy and safe vacation.
for glasses, check out ikea (the basic Pokal ones-usually on sale for less than $1). We've had ours for 10+ years, & they've lasted through kids & pets. They've bounced on wood floors, but the tile in this house will definately break them, but they also seem to break into larger pieces, they haven't shattered into slivers. Good luck on glass longevity!
Thanks for the ideas! I always travel with whatever food we have left from our fridge and on our most recent trip I made a potato soup and popped into the crock pot when I arrived. Serve with cheese and bacon bits and bread. Easy and yummy! So much money is wasted eating out with horrible service or getting gross fast food. I love seeing your ideas. Thanks!
Have a fun trip! Trying new restaurants on vacation is one of my parts of traveling but I’d probably still save a lot of money packing some stuff like you!
Did you do bring items for breakfast? We sometimes bring oatmeal packages or Carnation Instant Breakfast for a breakfast shake, for those who don’t like the free hotel continental breakfast choices. My daughter always wants to find Starbucks- lol.
Could we see a picture or car tour of how you pack all of this in one ride with 6 people? My family of four went on a trip last year and packed all food we ate the entire time in an Expedition. We were so packed!
Banana are in season so they’re definitely cheaper ☺️☺️☺️ and taste much better
Garden Salsa Sun Chips for the win! Hope your vacation was fabulous. Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family.
ikea kid plastic cups are great. they have lasted well past my childhood

Great video Christine! Have you ever shared Dave’s profession? I guess law enforcement!!! Am I correct? Lol
Omg 😱 That’s a lot of food, n prepping. I’m tired just watching u. How about an all inclusive hotel.
Christine be sure to avoid any pre-made salad kits for awhile, all brands of salad kits are being recalled because of a listeria outbreak .
Awww @ Dave being sweet and considerate.

We recently learned Chinese restaurants are usually open on the holidays too. PBJ is even better when traveling.😁 Your hair looks great btw.👍
We use pint and 1.5 pint canning jars for glasses in our house.
MUCH more durable, Plus you can buy lids/straws to take them on the go!

Use Ball canning jars. They are nearly impossible to break!
