Definitely love minimal life for a stress free home, but a well stocked pantry is a completely different topic for me. In the end it saves so much stress and money to be well stocked and prepared.

Hi there! 👋🤓💖 You should make a video showing how you do cleanup. I'm very interested in learning how you wash the cloth used for making cheeses. Have a great week!

Once again, you hit a home run. I'm surprised how little people think through these things. I also agree, why clean out and pare down if it's paid for. I don't want to have to buy it again a year after it's gone.

Canned goods are not stored in aluminum cans, but steel cans and there are two major reasons why steel cans are in short supply. One is the government cut back on cheaper Chinese steel imports into the US and consumers are less likely to properly recycle steel cans compared to aluminum cans which are almost exclusively used for beverages.

I enjoyed your video. Thank you. That was a very good point you made about buying a different dog food and mixing some into your pets food, so that he/she gets used to having a different brand if need be. Not like you can stock up on dry dog food, as it will go rancid. My little 15 lb terrier mix will eat anything, but a sudden change could be not so good for her digestion. I use Blue dog food, but hadn't thought of mixing in a little of something different. Thank you.

Hi! I love watching your videos. You are absolutely right about the pet food at the moment. I went to HEB tonight (San Antonio) and both cat and dog food was at very slim pickings. I usually buy my dog food at Costco but thought I'd pick up a smaller bag but they were all out.

If ever a government collapse don't ignore the dry dog food. Dogs eat it, humans can to. I'm put half dog food to half rice. Add salt for flavor and be thankful you are still eating what others overlooked.

Cans for food are TIN soda cans are aluminum. I think I do better with dry foods like beans and drying food to vacuum seal dried fruits in jars. I put flour and grains in jars too and that does real well too. I convert dry beans to pint jars 4 at a time so I keep my canned foods on a short shelf life since canning lids aren’t the quality they were when my Grandma, Mom or even myself started canning. The lids corrode easily and bend very easily and the rubber seal breaks down rather soon too. As for soda I can make my own with my Soda Stream machine and that means I don’t need to worry about what the store has on the shelf and I keep a spare bottle of the carbonation or 2 so I don’t run low.

I can't be coffee flexible because there are so many coffees out there that are just nasty LOL I wasted good dollars trying to find a cheaper coffee, but my go-to isn't even considered an expensive brand.

I had already cut back on sodas quite a bit, partly because of quitting smoking many years ago and therefore I didn't have the craving for liquids all the time but also because of the chemical additives etc that I knew weren't healthy. Since I started making kombucha a few months ago I've had absolutely no desire for sodas because the kombucha is so good it's the only thing I am interested in drinking anymore. Just throwing that out there.

Great info! We have been stocking up for years on small cans of chicken. Not picky about using store brands. We figure if the situation arose, one small can could be made into a meal for two. Also, we have a medium sized dog and if needed, he could eat that if his regular dog food was unavailable. Right now, we buy chicken on sale and I cook his food for him.

I’d love to see a rotating food system that is easy to maintain! The way my pantry is set up right now is such a pain to move everything forward and try to put new items in the back.

    Need a suggestion, please:
My grandson is based at Ft. Bliss, TX. His wife is looking for a place like the HEB store in their area between Ft. Bliss & the border. Their closest big stores are Sam's Club & Walmart.
