Again tomato sauce and tomato 🍅🍅🍅 products are not long term forms of food storage! I had cans that got nasty and rusted through because of all the acid! It was a horrible mess!

There are always those who love to make up a fault. They have no vision and because it is not spelt out that prepping has so many uses – they can only see hoarding as the end goal. These people have no imagination beyond prepping and I feel so sorry that they couldn’t even consider privately eg that they could leave an intensional meal on a widow neighbours door step. I am so thankful that nasty comments have not swayed you Mary in a limited direction because you know you are loved from the bottom of our hearts and so grateful for sharing your knowledge from hrs of research. Without you we might have to spend hours searching for the prepping light so thanks oh Mary for your sweet kindness.

a great staple to keep in a prepper pantry is PB and Me ,peanut butter. it s a powdered p.butter. just add water to reconstitute. it is almost oil free, so it does not go rancid! a must try, comes in chocolate flavour too! i did not like pnut butter until i tried this!

Tomatoes cause painful inflammation in body joints in people with arthritis. If I eat tomatoes, I incorporate cayenne pepper and turmeric in my foods with tomatoes; therefore, the spieces minimizes the painful joint pain.
I can't eat Mesa. Also, corn is not good for people with arthritis. Again, corn causes painful joint pain. Corn causes inflammation in joints

It is just like some selfish people to ASSUME that when you are stocking items it is depriving someone else of the same food. I am really sick of that attitude. Trust me, the day will come soon enough when they prayed they had an extra can or two on the self.

There are so many people that wouldn’t care about giving you anything especially the senior citizens in my area I’ve lived in my apartment for 17 years and no one’s ever came up and gave me anything!!! the community I live in they have one Christian ministries where I’ve seen workers gathering up food that was given to the poor and making their own bags of food to take home with them they would cherry pick The items and take them home with them. and those items were never meant for them. their volunteers they have nice home & cars and they volunteer their time they’re not poor and they’re not senior citizens but they’re gathering up food for themselves in the food pantry that was donated for people who are going through hard times it’s laughable and they expect you to load your own car and carry that stuff into your house and your elderly!! there’s no way I could even do it even if I went to the food Pantry no one around me would even help me carry it in the house the United States most Americans don’t care about the elderly or disabled people that have many challenges and can’t get these items and pick them up and take them into their homes. There may be richer communities or communities that really care about their elderly but that doesn’t happen everywhere there are some rude mean people on Facebook and other sites that are so hateful and so condescending I’ve never known such hatred on the Internet and people not caring about their neighbors even when it’s a cold or storming no one‘s ever knocked on my door to see if I was OK “and there was power outages and I’ve lived in my apartment a long time and have seen people come and go none of them concerned about anyone else but themselves and this is true facts !!!!!!!

I'm curious how long ago you found these things at Aldi? I haven't seen pasta for less than a dollar, for quite some time at our Aldi. I will have to look for the bags that you mentioned too, because I have never seen those at ours. I was actually surprised, at the end of the video, that you werew showing peanut butter. I buy the dry roasted nuts, or sometimes I have peanuts that I have shelled and roasted, that I make into creamy peanut butter. Granted, you will probably need to keep it in the refrigerator, but that one 16 oz. jar of peanuts can make some very nice peanut butter for you.

In tough times baked beans with throwing in a handful of diced onions, a extra spoon of brown sugar ECT then some browned ground beef all mixed together with buttered bread is very filling.

If a person is complaining about stocking her pantry, I take that to mean theydon't do that. This is hurricane season and we are taught to prepare at least 2 weeks of food and water because you never know how long you will not be able to go out because of the storm itself, no electricity, and the store not having merchandise. If you are on medications you need to keep at least a 2 week supply. This also goes for winter, or any kind of disaster. In addition, we have the supply problem

This was the first time I have seen one of your videos. I loved it and it was so informative plus you acted just as if you were talking one to one. I don't really know the word I'm looking for to explain my feeling, maybe homey. Thank you for all the tips. I learned so much and I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos!

my first stop is always Aldis. I buy the free range eggs at a low price. Their regular eggs are inexpensive as well. Aldi's in US are the same. Lidls is similar but they have a bakery. Aldis in Germany are broken into Aldis North and Aldis South, different stores. I buy my meat there, especially the pork. I'm half German and I get some things kind find elsewhere.

Mary, check out the recipe for Gilda de Laurentiis Spicy Tomato Soup on food network. Uses some of those pantry staples you mentioned…. Cannellini beans, jarred pasta sauce, chicken broth… calls for “small” pasta. It’s quick, easy and delicious! And chances are, you have EVERYTHING on hand!
