Great video love it perspective
Let’s stop talking about food. Enough said . Do what feels right and move on . Obsessing about food is unappetizing lol .
Just found your site and subscribed. Love the McDonald's hack, I'll be trying it, and your egg white bread. You've got good info and I like how you present it.
So we’ll said!
Amen!!! ♥️♥️♥️💐💐💐. Thank you, Nili.
What a great perspective!
I see fat ppl passing me at the bakery and I think that they shouldn’t even be near there and shouldn’t be looking at what we sell but that is judging those ppl. I shouldn’t even think it because I don’t know what their situation is. I’m going to stop thinking it.
Nili, language! LOL. That's the mindset I have as well. I started changing my eating habits during this pandemic. I had the good/bad list in the beginning & it drove me insane. However, for me, I find that if I eat breakfast a little later (around 10:30am) it sets me off for the rest of the day. I no longer eat to the point of feeling overstuffed. I use smaller plates & bowls (yeah, fooling the eyes). I find myself pretty content & satisfied with my food choices & with the changes that I've made. I eat what's right for me. We all need to make those choices & not let society dictate what's right or wrong for you. Anyway, that's my two cents. Thanks for the insight. Be well.
Thank you so much, I truly needed to hear this message today❣️❣️
WOW! what a great perspective! I am finishing my second day of ketovore for weight loss and am surprised at how satisfied I feel. It will be interesting to see if I want to snack tonight. Had an urge last night but a slice of cheese cured it. Thanks again for the insight. I will be watching recipes with great interest.
Love this!!! After being keto for 8 years I’ve changed my perception of good vs bad foods, it’s not the food, it’s the control the food has over me! If I can taste a bite of a (forbidden) food and be satisfied, then I’m in control! If I binge and loss control, then I wasn’t ready to take that first bite. I do have some trigger foods that I can’t even get close to without a major slip up and I avoid those like the plaque! Still a work in progress! Thanks for all your wisdom!!
Now I'm going to go and enjoy some dry roasted peanuts mixed with candy corn. You just shared some wise thoughts and I couldn't agree with you more. I eat very healthy but sometimes feel "guilty" when indulging in something what other's term "unhealthy".
I was so stuck on weighing myself, it determined my whole day… I know what puts extra pounds on me and if I eat those things in moderation It’s ok. I’ve also learned the less processed my food is the better I feel. It’s true, if I overeat I feel miserable. Very good advice btw. 👏🏻❤️👍🏻
Well put! That can apply to every aspect of life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've been overweight most of my life, and I've always watched what I eat, in terms of portions. Not everything is "healthy" and if some meals I have more than at other meals.. as long as my calories are in check that's fine by me.
I have had hormonal issues – all my life – and now I'm starting to do something about it. With natural supplements and such so far I'm starting to feel better.
Once I get this in check as far as my hormonal thing then I'll look at getting on some kind of organized plan. For now for me it's about feeling better and doing low carb or whatever it is .. was not recommended to me until my hormones are balanced out.
Some women find their hormones balance on a low carb plan – they're usually young and still have a monthly cycle. I've gone through menopause already in my late 40s and am now post menopausal in my mid 50s. I had hormone issues from when I was young and all the doctor did was put me on the pill thinking that would fix it..
PCOS didn't "exist" 30 years or so ago so they did what they though would work.. and it did .. for a while. I went into menopause still on the pill hence why at 45 I was off it and no cycles since. and my doctor didn't think to test all my hormone levels she was more concerned about me being heavy and just did the eat less exercise more thing.. – which didn't work for me.
I'm now taking Lorna Vanderhaege supplements for my thyroid, estrogen and adrenal levels.
Doctors do not always know everything and most will not go beyond the regular tests if they still see issues .. none of my doctors did even though I asked.
You're so right about food .. there is no "good food/bad food lists" if there was every single one of the humans on the planet would all eat exactly the same. and we do not.
People gotta lighten up a bit and let others be .. we know what works for each of us and if you don't know then you better figure it out.
AMEN, SISTA FRIEND!! 🙏🙏
GOOD INFO; SHARED TO THE BURGH!
That is the GREATEST INTELLECTUAL video I have ever seen about the TRUTH of FOOD and WELLNESS! You hit the nail right on the head! You woke me up to start doing exactly what you explained here that makes sense to me and what I am doing wrong. YOU could teach the doctors something.👍👍🌟👏
MAN! This is the polar opposite of what Ive been living for the last 40yrs (Im 47). Thank you for opening my eyes to this thinking!
You just blew my effin mind girl.
Loved this talk so much!
You do You, GF. Can't wait to be back in the great NW instead of the UK.
Am I just not seeing the Instagram site you said you would link or is it coming?
Great video, thank you!
Such a great mind set…will definitely be more mindful about this.
My son is also very allergic to eggs. He is grown now with sons of his own, but we found out when he was quite small.
About wellness, how are Renaes eyes these days. I’m just plain loving the adventures of your journey.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. I have been guilty of being judgemental of others without knowing all the facts. I will try to be more mindful of others. You are right. What works for me may not work for others.
I've always felt this way about Twinkies and Ding Dongs
Great video Nili. You are right on point. Everyone one of us has different nutrition needs. Thanks for sharing.
Religion: bad.
Great video, really like the information as its what right for u
Having had severe Crohn's disease for about 30 years now, I've had a few experiences with others judging me for what I can't eat. Once, while I was surviving on IV nutrition only, I felt well enough to go to a friend's baby shower. A woman there looked at me and stated, "Don't be a 'skinny B', eat some cake!" She had no clue that I was unable to digest any food, and had lost 30lbs before going on IV nutrition. I wanted to give her a piece of my mind, but she still likely wouldn't understand. I just smiled and said, "No thanks."
I'm so thankful for being able to eat a low-residue diet! My hubby still gets teary eyed watching me eat real food sometimes, after spending so many years not being able to eat. It's all perspective! 😊
“Preach” it sister🤪. Very good video! Thanks for sharing this perspective with us. It sure does help to remember what you said about power in the present moment is all we have control over. It is easy to think tomorrow is a new day for…but really it is now. Thanks again!
Tootsie Rolls, GOOD! Eggs, BAD (Levi and me)! 😉
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Well said, and putting Levi and his allergy to eggs in your narrative is a powerful reminder not to judge people… As a public Health nurse, I met with so many families where parents and kids were grossly overweight…they told of looks they got in the grocery stores as people scanned their carts and even went so far to say something cruel. But, when you have very little money after paying rent and utilities, potatoes, and pasta and CHEAP hot dogs with mystery fillers are all you can afford, you do the best you can. Oh, the stories I could tell!
This video will make me think a wee bit harder to make a better choice the next time I'm about to eat something I know is not good for me. Depending on my mood and the day I've had of course. I'm choosing better than I ever did before but this video will make me STOP and think before I go to the D.Q.
Well said. I love that perspective. Great video!
In my perfect world, broccoli is fattening and you need to add cheese sauce to make it healthy. Well, Keto is kinda sorta broccoli's cheese sauce. I do miss Tootsie Rolls though.
This was a great video, Nili! I will share it with my low-carb Facebook group.
Great information! Thanks for sharing!!!
Good morning! 😊
