I bought this to extend my season on my potted vegetable garden while I am doing contract work and living in my camper. My biggest issues were the plastic tore near the seam. I had to put pots on the bottom rail to keep the whole frame from blowing away. It was really useful and did keep my plants from freezing during our polar freeze in February.

We bought a 6'x6' metal and polycarbonate panel greenhouse two years ago. Instructions were even worse than for your mini greenhouse and really really poor quality pictures. It took us a month to get it assembled: 1) because we had to take it apart several times because later instructions were impossible with the previous partial assembly done; for example, instructions had us assembling braces only to find out you couldn't slide in the poly panels with the braces in place, then the main corner pieces had way more holes drilled than what could used; guess wrong on which hole to bolt into, and subsequent parts didn't fit that configuration. And 2) we walked away from it for a few days at a time rather than kill each other – lol! . It's holding up fine and does exactly what we needed – but we'd never order from that company again. Major kudos to you on figuring that out!!!

Made in china I am surprised you got the instructions that you did. This would work great for someone who lives in an apartment or a condo with a large deck, or an area that is sheltered from the wind.

Hope you didn't pay too much for that thing. looks like typical Chinese junk. Interesting to watch you sort it all out.
If I had one of those, I'd probably go ahead and put duct tape around all those plastic joints. I know you can't take it apart then, but hey, at least it wouldn't fall apart for the one season it would probably last.

I set something similar to this up in my dining room this past winter for my seed starts, wasn’t real hard to set up and it worked marvelous I had all my own starters this year for the first time ever.

I got a mini green house last year make with same tubing and a heavier cover but has same ties. I pushed in all the tubes tight but the cover is still very tight. The zipper broke second time I used it. Where the tie downs attach they pulled out. It’s still usable with help from gorilla tape. The door no longer closes as the zipper totally broke but keep down with a concrete block. It serves its purpose for me as I can’t afford a solid green house. After spring is past raising plants in trays I remove the cover til fall. I leave the frame up. It’s about a 5’x5’ size. For the price it is ok can’t expect too much. I did stake my frame down. In high winds I will say it held up good. I like the small cover one here for frost protection.

Have one similar from China by the way of Harbor Freight. Use it to germinate seedlings inside the house. It would be three counties over if left outside in my wind.

You could use that one as a pattern to build some bigger and better out of PVC. That one would be OK in the spring and/or fall. But would have to put some more tie straps on it. Thanks for sharing. God bless

Thanks for showing this… I can see this working in many situations… Of course not for everyone.. but your demo I'm sure will be a blessing for some folks. I also agree with so e below that handy folks could make it themselves. I'm sure if it was made in America it would be a better product but it would also be more expensive.

I will tell you one funny thing that happened when I got my greenhouse kit from China. It does have an instruction booklet and they kept talking about my “spirit” level and that was one of the things required to put it together. I didn’t know what they were talking about. I thought they meant I should meditate and have a positive attitude so I did. 😂😂😂😂. It didn’t help me get it together though 😭

This would be a great giveaway prize for the next milestone! I have 3 of these that go in my raised beds and I tack it down with garden staples. It allows me to start my seeds earlier.

They sound nice, I got one given to me. I was hoping to keep stuff growing into winter. A mild winter may have been ok, but we had a hard, cold winter. The plastic went to shreds!!! Made in China. … The sticks I still use for plant supports, the plastic angle connectors do not last either😞

I have this, but mine has a green thing that goes on the bottom and you can use it as a planter. The dirt makes it heavy and I am not using the clear thing right now. I will put it on in the fall though.

That's pretty cool..I can see you having to anchored that to the ground cause the wind would carry it away unless you put against a building…my mom got me a mini greenhouse for inside the house..love it!!!
