Dogs and cats with little to no desire for food are so nerve-wracking! But my vet told me that if you heat up their food, their hunting instinct kicks in and they will eat some even if they're nauseous. Why? Because nothing is more tempting than a fresh kill, and by heating up the food, it mimics a fresh kill with steaming guts, few dogs and cats can resist that. I have a 16 yr old cat that's a bit under the weather at the moment, but if I heat up her food and goats milk she will eat. Work with their instincts.
