u know, I thought Japan was known for their spicy food cuz of the wasabi they eat but boi was I wrong. Maybe it cuz I come from a culture which is heavily on spicy food.
I used to work at Ichiran and boy it was so stressful but the food was spot on!

People call Ichiran mid, but it's a solid 8/10 ramen, and the layout of the place is no gimmick. When I want a meal alone, as someone with social anxiety, it's an oasis. It might not be the best ramen in Japan, but it's way better than it needs to be to attract people with its solo dining booths.

I’d still tip. Tipping culture in the US is stupid for its causes but I’ve found myself tipping folks that get decent wages if I found the service was excellent especially if they are working alone and shouldn’t be. I’ve been there too so I don’t mind giving a bit.
