Flo, I had written you almost a year ago about some of the ingredients as we couldn't get any around here. Well in the past half a year a community of wonderful Philippine's moved in. They started an Asian store, and restaurant and even their own church. It is so wonderful. So I was able to get some dark soya sauce, and that rice wine,, and fermented beans. So I am so excited, I am going through your recipes again. Oh my goodness, that wine, and dark soya sauce sure do add an amazing taste to things!!! Plus they brought in different rice, and you get a big bag for cheaper, but the rice is soooooo much better than we could normally buy. So Asia has now come to Saskatchewan, and we love it!
My Instant Pot was a game changer……makes pulled pork/carnitas so easy. I vary the seasonings depending upon what I have but one of my favorite additions is an orange….I halve or quarter it, squeeze the juice into the bottom of the pot and then tuck the peel into the meat. Many times it is so tender that it dissolves into the meat entirely…..adds a great citrus vibe that most people just can't quite figure out. Especially good when I put the meat into my skillet and brown it up before making tacos or sandwiches. I had never considered ginger but that's going into my next batch (maybe this weekend!

That looks so good!!! I can’t wait to make this. I like to spread a little mayo on the bun and toast it in a skillet.
Maybe it is a Missing or Defective Gene that prevents the Soapy Taste of that Green Stuff from being detected…🤣🤣😂
Sandwich does look Delicious though… Probably tastes Great, even if a bit Soapy😁
Yum! Good lookin' sammich! God bless you two in your efforts.
