We no longer buy any extra laundry additives like scent beads, fabric softener and oxi clean. Strictly laundry detergent and dryer balls and I’ll tell you what, I don’t miss it at all! It actually makes me feel ill thinking about how all those extras was costing about $30-$40 a month. A total waste of money

Hi Ellen, it was nice visiting with you! I truly enjoyed listening to your thoughts.. I hear you, sweet lady… great job on tge budget book. It's such a great idea to have a daily one, to track our "progress" and stay focused instead of focusing on what we can't afford!😔🙏

Hello my friend!! You look good!! Yes prices here in Canada are ridiculous…. I just found out about Mcdonald's fries… very disappointing. I don't eat Mcdonald's anymore but that was shocking to find out. Take care!!!

Great ideas. I don't buy clothes at any store at our mall, but I do pickup a shirt or hoodie once in awhile at Walmart, although they don't holdup as well as, say, Kohls clothes. 😑

Catching this video one day late…..so I wish you a great Saturday! 😊 Take care!

I agree how expensive everything is. I'm making it now, but worry about the future. If my income stays the same and prices keep going up and up, in a couple of years I will not have enough money to live on. Even home and car insurance keeps going up. Where is that extra money suppose to come from! My SS sure doesn't go up enough to cover these price increases. 😕

Nice picture at the end with you and Bandit. That would be the perfect distance to do your table talks to us from. I do look forward to having my morning coffee with you but this was very up close.😂. Love you and will see you in the morning. 😊

So important to live in the moment. There are many creative ways to use what we have or to find inexpensive or free supplies. Look to nature. Pinecones, acorns, dried leaves and dried flowers, wildflowers, even stones. Scraps of fabrics can become cute ornaments or small decorations. I do understand a wistful longing for times gone by. I loved shopping for the tasteful but unusual. It’s not just lack of money now, I couldn’t physically enjoy shopping like I once did. Or going to public gardens and wander around for hours. My body no longer can do that. I do have beautiful memories I can still enjoy.
You are very creative in everything you do from cooking to gardening to decorating to all arts and crafts. You inspire many. Thanks for sharing. 😊

We haven't been to the movie theater since 2020. We may break down this Sunday and go see Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. It will be the matinee show for the discount. No vacations either. We stay home, watch sports or murder shows, go in our hot tub for the old bones. 😂 Thanks for the tips. Was that your neighbor making all that racket outside? Lol ❤

Hi Ellen, We haven't been on a vacation in years. Instead we go on picnics, long walks, have bbq's, and watch movies at home with a glass of wine. I don't miss those exhausting trips at all. Thanks for all the great ideas.
