I’m a new follower. I discovered you through broccoli mum and I’m so glad I did!
Love this!
I like the idea of having a smoothie for breakfast but most of the time oatmeal is more appealing.. maybe I can have both just a smaller portion?
Very good talk❤
Appreciate so much for all info shared. Many thanks to both of you.
So informative and inspiring with very basic and y’et very nuanced explanation on a lot of important questions such as e.g. to keep a god balance of omega 3 dating a lot of green leaves and lowering the intake of omega 6 🙏🎶💚🎵
I’ve been watching several videos with amazing Content and no one has ever addressed smoothie recipes and how they may influence blood sugars in someone with pre-diabetes or diabetes. Is this something we must be concerned about. I watch or just recently discovered Dr Brooke Goldner who advocates 75% greens and only 25% fruit. But is this combination still risky and influence blood sugar levels? Any comments or thoughts from the community?
Also, when you roast nuts or soak them, don’t you release more of the minerals so they become bio available? The more videos are you seem to watch the more conflicting information we get. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I like this guy!

OMG – I think this is the first interview I've watched with Dr. Rick Dina. I loved his presentation and the interaction between Chef AJ and Dr. Rick. That sample menu looked delicious! He put things into perspective in such a clear and concise way. THANK YOU.
Nothing that is grown today, probably resemles the food we are way back then.
So I think eating fruits and veggies are still the best I can feed my body!
If you develop a relationship with your nearest fruit wholesaler and you’re spending money there, they’ll sometimes agree to hold a few cases of bananas for your you and not gas them.
The bananas go into a gas chamber and get gassed with a corn-based gas to make them ripen really fast. Without that gas, they take weeks to ripen.
I bought all my bananas for a wholesaler I drove by on the regular in Shreveport, LA years ago. They hooked it up. That was before I was a McDougall Disciple 👊🏼
Love all the info!
This was fantastic information. Thank you so much!
Pen here. Great video. Thanks.
Tip: put bananas and avocados together . They like to ripen each other 👌🏼
If you hang the bananas on a hook while keeping the stems covered and the bunch together they ripen slowly.
You can also freeze the bananas at the ripeness you like it. Don't peel and cut into pieces. Freeze them whole.
When you are ready to use just cut off the skin and blend them with fluids of your choice. Don't defrost. They will be too mushy.
I am relieved to hear him say that plant fats are not deadly. Even T. Colin Campbell was on a video saying he's tired of people obsessing about macros and that as long as you are eating a quality WFPB diet, move on with life.
Great doctor!
Well i want the higher nutrients…but i need the higher calories a lot….i cant eat more so i cant add the extra veg on top of the starch.
I try to eat a 3 pound huge salad of Romaine lettu ce, spinach, mixed greens, and 1 cup of each of these non-starchy vegetables of broccoli, cauliflower, red cabbage, green cabbage, red onion , 14 g rape tomatoes, 1 cumcumber, and follow baby Bella mushrooms and salad dressing made with 1 whole avocado, 3/4 cups of red wine vinegar, 3 /4 cups of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of black pepper mixed in a blender which make a couple of cups and lasts about a week or longer. I only put about 1/2 cup on my salad. I also eat about 5 different fruits each day.
