I don't mind" leftovers" but I'm not into" meal planning" I don't like cooking for the week
But I will season 3 proteins chicken-beef pork -lets say on a Sunday then when I come home after work I'll pull whatever my mood calls for protein wise.. and pair it w some potatoes- pasta- rice -greens Whatever.
Works for my mood-budget -time. Wout being bored at my Tupperware preps that I'm looking at all week.

BTW shout out to both cookbooks 📚 on this channel and the free recipes on their site.

$3500!!! pull the tooth!!! maybe $350 or less…..I cook fairly frugal, yet I always learn something from Jill and Tawra… I haven't heard many people talk about "vegan meat"!!! talk about processed food!!! and its costly. I never understood the granola bar phenomenon, I never got hooked on them or for my child. I just looked at the ingredients and the prices, or some popular brands and cheap ones ,blew me away!!!!and the first ingredient is sugar or honey!!!!

I did a list of all the meals I cooked and over time it's up to 82 different meals. I also did a master grocery list. I just print both off my computer. Before I go shopping I cross off what I still have enough of. Makes it very easy not to have to think of everything every time.

When my kids were at home, I used to write on my calendar what we were going to eat for the week. I didn't always stick to it, but I went by what I had not what I needed to go purchase. It only took a few minutes because I already knew my recipes.

Thank you for letting me know I am not a weirdo. I thought it was my adult ADHD and I use to feel like a failure because budgets and meal planning just did not work for me.

😂😂😂 I'm a homeschool mom with a massive circle of homeschool mom friends and none of us look like that. I've seen them though and the story just made me chuckle. People can be so eccentric sometimes!

Thanks for your awesome tips & advice! Yes, the KISS principle of "keep it simple stupid" is what I live by!! We have our main meal suggestions on a white board on the side of our fridge & just use what suits each night. I'm thankful that my Mum used to always cook an extra meal worth of food for if we had friends over when we were teenagers. Then she'd freeze whatever wasn't eaten & we'd have leftover night when the freezer was full. We do that now too & have leftover night about every 10 days…. love it! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

Made your turkey 2 weeks ago. Turkey shepherd’s pie last week, turkey gnocchi soup this week and two more 1.5lb servings in gravy to figure out additional meals for the coming week. Hurray

The whole midnight issue was just a misunderstanding. Say at 3pm on the 16th you say your have a sale until midnight on the 17th that’s only 9 hour sale. Oh if you say we have a sale until midnight on the 18th that’s 1 day and 9 hours and 1 minute

I have what I call a bucket list of foods that I’ve been craving or wanting to make that are not cheap and easy, like prime rib, and I just keep this list in my planner and keep my eye out so that if something does go on super sale I can make it and check it off.

I really think a lot of it is just genetics. My mom is 81 refuses to go to the doctor is not on any medication… She always says when Jesus wants her he can have her 😂 She eats like a teenage boy lots of chips and sweets…everything with butter. She doesn’t have any major health problems she drives and keeps up with the grandbabies and great grandbabies. I really hope by age like my mother.

Stress about weight/"healthy" eating, exercise, etc., is more detrimental to health than the food. People make a LOT of money by creating fear. Our bodies & brains need cholesterol & fats, but drug companies make so much money on cholesterol-lowering drugs. God made bodies in all shapes, sizes, etc. Diet companies profit from creating insecurities.

Honey (raw honey) is anti-bacterial and does not cause cavities. It also has enzymes and micro nutrients whereas sugar has zero value other than a short burst of energy and empty calories. Just an FYI.

Hello from Australia. I love your videos and common sense wisdom. Completely agree with you about the Cool Whip. Also, these lists that Jill shares are so helpful. My parents and all my Grandparents have passed on, and these tips are reminiscent of what I grew up with, but forgot, because it wasn't written down, and passed on. Thank you both so much for everything you share. Don't change a thing. Tawra's no nonsense is awesome, and spot on. God bless you both, and your family. 🙏❤

I'm cooking my free Thanksgiving turkey, and making room in my freezer just in time for the Easter ham sales. Thanks for the reminder about it. I hadn't even thought about the ham sales. I'm using your turkey recipe. Yum!😊
